Everywhere is off piste today. The mountain has been blitzed with 15-20 cm in places. Fresh tracks all morning & all day to come. Great cover @ Perisher with this top up. Gear is wet as mid day precipitation is wet wintry mix.

Just awesome at Perisher today. Soooo much fresh snow. Yeah it has been a wintery mix but more awesome than not. Just finishing lunch at Snow Gums at PVH watching fat flakes fall and a whole mass of people enjoying themselves on the snow. The max.i.am family had a top morning across all PV areas falling over in the POW and laughing. I observe Perisher and Mother Nature at their finest.

Very pleasant in mild sun at GlenRowan - 120 kms northwest of Hotham - scattered cloud over Buffalo & Alps but promising a good day tomorrow.

I observe a very thin and patchy cover at Buller. Where do they take their measurements to have 58 cm of natural snow. More like 5 to 8 cm I think.

Snow Depth on the Family Run gauge is 64cm and IMO is the best indication for how the mountain is skiing.

Skied all 4 resorts @ Perisher today. This system has delivered yet another jackpot & the accumulations on Mt P are significant with over 20 cm. Everywhere today was fresh tracks, albeit wet POW in places but still great fun. Smiggins didn't accumulate much after early this morning but the runs have benefited significantly from yesterday's cover. All up this was yet another good system for Perisher. Weekend conditions will be great.

Drizzle/showers for last 2.5hrs @ Falls. Management decided to clear any remaining snow off village roads today. 90% of resort was skiing well yesterday....international not far off closure. Didn't bother heading out today due to rain/sleet at village level for most of last night.

Persistent drizzle 7-11pm around 1720m at Hotham with a bit of scattered sleet at times. Cover quite damp now & not convinced we'll get much of a freeze.

Hotham weather station malfunction or in a very strange warm pool; currently 3.6deg whilst falls is below 0. Hotham airport 1.5deg, so I suspect malfunction

that's just Canberra day trippers - weekend will be what it is. either average busy - or out of control for a last gasp before the heat arrives later next week.

I also observe a rather large mound of snow in the distance. Looks like they've built a big booter in the BC Park.

Another of two glorious days at Hotham (Friday/Saturday). Light breeze, mostly sunny, reasonably good snow in most places and crowds tolerable to even quiet at times.
