Looks like a bit of snow in Tassie and Southern Victoria this morning. Looks like scattered showers with continue looking at the Vic Radar Loop, but not much will reach further north.

Some saved snow cams below, saved here :

Could see snow on the Ben from Launceston this morning! Probably 5cm or so. The wind is very cold here today would probably be around -3 OR-4 on Benlomond this arvo.

tomtankman, its one of three webcams in Cradle Valley operated internally by the Parks and Wildlife Service (which I have access to). When bandwidth issues are solved, its likely that results from the cams will be made available to the general public (but don't hold your breath).

    Thanks Beeper

Please solve bandwidth issues soon. That web cam would be very usefull to me. Would it be possible for you to post an image whenever a snow event is occurring. Do you know the altitude of that carpark.

I was planning to post up the cradle webcam images (there is another which is a closeup of the mountain) on a regular basis during this winter, but of course (in Tas) there was little snowfall and when was some it was clagged in. The carpark is around 940m altitude, the plateau to the right is around 1250-1300 metres and Cradle is 1545m.
