Yep. I have a theory about those easterlies. A good season can't be had if the westerlies go missing for too long (obviously) but easterlies often save our bacon in NSW at least when the westerlies do go missing. There a bunch of seasons that would have been very bare indeed until well into August without them. Granted the snow surface after an easterly is also often pretty dodge.
Yup thanks, interesting. Similar stuff to be found on the BHPs, including my favourite copse of Pauciflora which I reckon well over 500 years..
