Forgot to say, made frostballs from windscreen ice and had street fight with my kids. next best thing to a snowball fight and you don't have to pay $30 park entry!

It was well below freezing in Canberra, this morning; just like yesterday. This morning it was -5.3C when I went out to the car to go to work... and discovered I'd left it outside instead of in the garage. *sigh*

The temperature where I live was lower than the temperature on Front Valley in the same time frame. Sheesh!

I, too, have noticed the snow on the V8 cam. But I'm having trouble telling the difference between the fog and snow on the other Perisher cams. (The live cams are useless for me at work).

I hope this is going to be a much bigger dump than the BoM have forecasted. I'll be watching the cams throughout much of the day to see how things develop.

Moisture seems to be heading towards the hills and building from the NW at the moment on the radar. VIC mts look to pick up more than NSW. Very scattered showers

Yeah looks like Buller has picked up a bit in the last hour. Rocks are covering over nicely and the bricks are almost covered.

call from the hill just now (Buller) was a bit vague on how much - maybe 5-10cm so far. Still cold and the snowmakers are pretty chuffed with themselves.

Anyone up at Hotham give an update on how much over the day they expected in snowfall?

Radar has shown activity for hours over the area.

Well, considering their own snow report has 0cm as the new snow in 24 hours, that photo is bullcrap.

Definitely man made, you can tell by the brown colour at the bottom where it has started to accumulate. Really sad that they have to resort to "faking the weather" to continue to bring people to the slopes, they wont fool me, Im all about natural goodness.

Looks like mid station to me, however snow from a gun would never accumulate like that unless they actually aimed the gun right above the deck of mid station which would be quite a waste. Also, looking at the railing behind, there is the exact same amount of snow, perfectly spread across.....can't see that happening from a snowgun.

Definate bit of snow in the village Square. I was going to mention the rise in moisture at both perisher and cabrumurra with nothing reading at Thredbo...

Thredbo AWS never reads precipitation when its below zero. I always look at Khancoban for best guide as to what is falling around thredbo and perisher.

I observe nsw hate victorians getting any leg up.Most would rather tear their eyeballs out, then victoria get snow first.

I also observe this crazy fascination Re:nsw that all systems should form ECL's,because one did 30 years ago and dropped 50cms

i observe it's very rare that VIC gets a leg up on NSW when it comes to snow.

These days i'm the same distance from thredbo, falls and hotham so don't care where it falls.
