I observe a whole bunch of people walking up the hill to the Blue Cow base and the chairs swinging around on the lift on wind hold

Obviously people who don't know who to get across to Brumby. Ridge and Brumby still showing as open, so I don't know why Perisher don't make more effort to advertise these options.

Snowed all day at Perisher when I was there.

    Windy but enough running.

    Crowds ok.

    Smiggins was the pick.

No photos as couldn't see much!

I observe very windy conditions have prevailed at Island Bend all afternoon. So windy that numerous tents from a school group have been redistributed downwind. Currently easing off a tad and at 0.0 degrees some of the sago is accumulating.
Tracks were filling in every 30 min or so at Guthega this morn and nothing indicates anything has changed since, so if vis is OK tomoz, its gunna be a very nice day! Oops, winds are back.

RR into the rear of a Evoque at the first turn downhill from Buller day park at around 5pm. Good shunt into the rear.

Buller was heavy upon first tracks.
Got a bit lighter as lighter snow fell throughout the day. Some nice laps in the afternoon.
Sun peaked out on a few occasions.
Certainly made the landscape more beautiful under a fresh cover.

A few snowflakes have settled again at Lake Eucumbene this morning. Clear skies above, so must have blown in from the clouds over the range.

On average, 5-6mm out of that band in the low lying areas.
So you could probably double to triple it for the Alps.
    10mm for Mt William

Very Heavy rain here is SE Mel over the last hour or so. Has dropped to 11 from 15c & looks /sounds quite wintry - not a bad thing in September. Small amount of hail in mix.

Sould be looking good (better!) at BB & Buller later on?

That sounds accurate. Howling blizzard yesterday meant lots of freshies this morning! Excellent cover here at Perisher. Scattered snow showers on and off now.

Great skiing this morning at Buller.

About 15-20 cents on the car, from late afternoon Friday - midday today.

The heavy snow on Sat morning wasn’t that great, but the rest of the days were pretty nice skiing.

    Carnage on the buller road
Snowing down to around chain bay 3.
Saw a 4WD try overtake about 1km from dump inn, slipped straight off the opposite side and down the slope. Managed to hit the 1 tree that could stop it from rolling down the hill. Crazy

Snowing steadily at Hotham since about 3 pm - light dry snow & cold temps. Consistent snow interspersed with reasonable falls.

Absolute carnage indeed. The Pardo off the side did not appear to have any chains. A X5 also without chains straight into the ditch.

Resort managed however did not call for 4x4 to carry chains this morning. The amount of snow by 5pm would have caught a lot out who didn't know of the intensity of the afternoon cell. Good 5 to 10cm at the day carpark.

Very light dusting of snow visible on Mt Cobrabold 1500 odd m this morning at Lake Eucumbene. But no snow at lake level. Seems moisture wasn't there to get much falls east of the range.
