Noticed all the resorts did the same thing, rose about 1deg at beginning of front and then dropped back again after an hour. I expect PV will follow the trend.

Buller Village Square cam has seriously filled in. Steps are now a smooth slope.

Temps not amaze at -1.7 but the radar is a SW freight train.

Didn't think anything would warrant another Lake Eucy post, but a fresh dusting on local hills last night turned up. Northern Kozi looks a treat this morning. Breezy.

A lot of snow on the Kosi roadside from Dainers up to the village. Chains from Wilsons. Usual situation with folks stuck in the middle of the road and chains not fitted.......,,

Perisher claiming 20 cms and that seems fair. Will be a lot more up top. Those winds have been unrelenting and will have pushed stacks in off the range.

The snow is a bit heavy at village level but coverage is excellent. Creek trying to fill over....

Unclear what the wind will do today. Some chairs currently on wind hold. It was blowing in the car park but seems a bit less so at the moment.

A light dusting of snow overnight at Lake Crackenback near Bullocks Flat (skitube). Perisher claiming another 20cm overnight. We’ll see what lifts are open today after a weekend of very strong winds.

Another epic day for PB by the looks of the pics..
Interested to see how Buller fared from last night. Elsternwick across the bay big winds lots of rain from about 10 pm and most of the night. From previous fronts with similar rain (early June) I looked at cam's next morning and it was white out!

Healthy DGZ observed last night. Likely to have been the yellow pings on the radar through Melbourne's outer-Eastern Subs, through West Gippsland, last night. Adding to Baw Baw's caking. I can't find an official reading but looks like they got a foot O/N.

Buller reported 10cm but their overnight reporting is always low as the locations are based on what’s safe for a patroller to go and read at 5am.

It’s good!! Resort a little slow but wind has died down.

Managed 2 runs on Sun before it closed. Groomers at work. Made it to Eyre which is being set up. Nice snow.

I think PV groomer could've finished the T-bar grooming better. That's gonna be a shit show if the cloud rolls in as a white out when people tend to hug the T-bar road.

Apparently the southerly came up and blasted it a bit to shit. Still, a great base and it’s now just about the 15-20cm on top.

I’m not certain about this but we were let onto Sun T Bar a few minutes early. At the top was 3 groomers and a ski patroller.

They let us ski Sun then back at the base of the T for the second run up, another patroller was instructing the lift operator not to load any more customers. So we were on the lift and up a second time.

From the top it was decamp down for a bit then slip over to Eyre. The snow quality was fine in Sun bowl (in parts) and also in amongst the trees between International and Eyre.

I observe Mt P was then shut from a customer perspective and the groomers went about getting the mountain ready. (will post an observation re the snow conditions).

    Not quite

Marketing measure at 6am in a spot often scoured by wind (hence lower cm) and this goes on the report. Then once the Ski Patrollers get up they measure the three gauges, usually 8-9am, and then depths are updated again for the interwebs and official records.

Sounds like you got lucky. Great Obs!
No doubt the groomers would've been busy all night. But generally, you don't leave muffin tops anywhere near a surface lift - whether you're outta time or not. Thanks for sharing the image. Looked like an amazing AM.

EDIT: in fact upon closer inspection, it doesn't even look like the tiller was used/down.

    Cheeky Vic comment Dave.

Perhaps Buller could/should use the Perisher ‘measurement practice’? That would give Buller more bragging rights.

...if in doubt round up to nearest 5 or even 10?

But more seriously, there really should be a std measurement practice that all resorts should agree to? Then nos. quoated can be taken seriously. Rather than just guesstimates. Marketing tools.
