Stunning day on the golf course, wind gradually increased and swung more NW than N.
Stunning day in Thredbo, if a little windy. Cover is extensive but is very slushy by mid afternoon. Going out early and skiing hard till lunch is def best option.

and windy conditions for much of the state. Rainfall is expected in the south
of the state, mainly over the ranges where thunderstorms are possible. Winds

i know they'll make sure they have at least 3 lifts running even if you get blown off the side of the mountain
Pretty much everything at buller is showing as on standby.
Chamois, the carpets and the rope tows are running.
Falls only have summit and gully running.

I have just driven back from Cooma. Very windy and lots of debris on the road. Garbage day in Berridale today - all the bins are playing dead so if driving watch out for flying rubbish.

Be careful on the roads especially if coming over fron Khancoban to Thredbo. Known to be a few trees fall through there in conditions like these.

Eek! I am in Berridale as well. Just returned inside from retreiving the dog box, for the 2nd time, and removing the timber gate that was self destructing in the wind. Low pressure on the leeward side of the shed has broken the shed door.
Phoned my son - all lifts at Perisher on wind hold, even the brumby T-bar. They are hiking the hill to work on jumps. Better not be big jumps cause they will get blown away.
Anyone care to guess at the wind in Sydney this arvo/tonight? I really need to get home and am hoping my 4pm flight isn't told to go back to where it came from.
