But there looks to be a much stronger burst in behind the initial slider. Fingers crossed.

Been visiting my folks today in Seymour. Rain came in with some rumbles and flashes around six. Rain not too heavy. Rained gently all the way back to Epping.

Hotham in the negs, snow in the upper reaches forsure, IMO.

35mm prefrontal seems bang on with what EC was suggesting.

That force field had been working a treat for us up until last night. No rain up in the dandenongs before I went to bed. Woke to 27.3mm in the gauge. Lots of gravel and debris on the road. Bit of flooding at the local school.

Woke in the wee hours to very heavy rain, only had wind up until that point.
Part of driveway washed out, lots of debris washed down the road and the Yarra River up a bit.

Looks like they've had yet more decent falls in the Seven Creeks and King River catchments today, on top of what fell overnight. Both are experiencing solid flood events at the moment.

Reckon the capacity would be somewhat less these days after all the fires in the noughties.

Absolutely howling W wind here in Sydney. Going to be a windy night. Not that cold. Feels like a classic winter cold front blowing through but one key ingredient missing - cold air!
