Ripped from PSR....
Looking tad cooler than 9 degs.
Some heavy showers in Melbourne's inner east.
Black Spur was closed yesterday afternoon because of fallen trees. It still hasn't re-opened. Great for business from passing traffic! Not.
Would you get much business on a Monday in October?
We got absolutely pummeled earlier here in Brighton from a passing shower. Strong winds, heavy rain, and some hail in there for good measure.
Copped that also here in Chelt.
Might get a few more with these coldies pushing through
Meanwhile in Sydney, its 30's and summer. Doesn't feel like it'll last, though.
Carnage up here in the Dandenongs. Trees and power lines down everywhere. We are lucky to have power back on, lots of the hill still out. Hats off to the cfa,ses and power company guys who are still working their butts off.
No. lol But that's not the point. That road will be the last place they clean up, because we're just country folk. They never wanted to open the spur after black Saturday - but we threatened to bring in commercial current affairs shows to deal with VicRoads if they didn't re-open it. They opened that afternoon after we issued those threats. We may have to do something similar again.
What's more, there's a dusting on the mountain!
Cams suggest so at both Lake Mountain and at Buller!
EDIT: also snowing at Falls according to their FB.
Relax....it's only October.....
I'm heading up the hill for a few turns for a few days on Thursday....
Ground cooler !
Some nice pix from TAS this morning but I can't seem to upload any photos to the forums ATM.
Had a few cm overnight at DP and was cold driving off the hill after work this morning @ -4
Noticed a few deisels stuck as well. Amazingly they ploughed the road- good effort Carl.
It's cold in Melbourne this morning.
It was bloody nippy at work about 4am in Hallam.
