well no where near as old as MT P double and its a high speed detachable . Wow how cool would that be on mt P and they might even be able to still run it on high wind days without so many chairs on the cable . Imagine that. this could be a great interim measure while we wait for an eternity for, god forbid, a 6 seater high speed detachable

The problem is that Blue Bullet 1 is a sort of "technological orphan". As one of the first Doppelmayr detachable chairlifts in the world, it pioneered a whole load of new stuff. Now some of that worked well and is still used in detachable chairlifts today, but other technology has been superseded as they've found better ways of doing things.

Even in the early years of this century it was very hard to get spare parts for. That is one of the reasons Blue Bullet 2 (and Heli triple) were replaced with a six pack, so BB2 could be cannibalised for parts to keep BB1 operational.

I seriously doubt that there is anywhere that would be interested in it, as maintenance would be a real nightmare. On the other hand if one of the "Big five" resorts is pulling out a perfectly good fixed grip chairlift, then there is often interest in buying it from smaller resorts or non snow tourist operations,

Vail aren't immune to spending money. . Lots of money.
They will, once the lease is settled. Until then. Nup. Just the plans slated before they bought P.
