I don't know about moisture, but it's been raining since last night.

Hey Dos, look out for me at Merritts come Monday, or maybe tomorrow afternoon. Probably Monday, I want to catch up with peeps in Jindy on the way up, and I have another big dinner tonight, burp. +1's birthday week is nearly done.

Thinking a day off the top (bc) will be real nice later in the week.

Reckon it might be time soon to start a reports thread.

I won't be here on Monday cuz my trip ends tomorrow afternoon. I'll be back again on Friday.

I can't believe I've only skiied/boarded 3 days in my 6 days on the mountain. Today doesn't look like it either. With Friday Flat at this condition, not to mention raining, I don't even want to get changed into parka and pants.

My only hope is Merritts open before I leave on Sunday for some more turnson ski. Next week will come back with snowboard and snowboarder friends.

Dos if you're keen enough to walk to Merritts in the snow you HAVE to get into the back country.

I will one day. For now I'm for the down hill actions.

As for walking up the mountain in snow, today wasn't bad. Snow on the road wasn't thick. The only down side was that I wore running shoes, not snow shoe. A bit cold.

Last year I did some snow walking at Perisher, starting from Smiggin Holes up Mt Piper then descending down to the creek, crossed it, then ascending up to Rocky Knob at the top of Interceptor Quad, then descending down to Pretty-Valley base station and to the car park at Perisher Valley.

Nice pics Dos, thanks for sharing.

Had two runs down FF mid morning which was enough for me. More dirt than snow (which it was already for last weekend). Not surte how many good snowmaking periods they will get down low over the next week to replenish the cover.

Fingers crossed Merrits will be open tomorrow for a slide. I guess we stay in this holding pattern until a season starting dump comes through.

Well, at least there's one thing more tragic than FF!

Current reports etc to be posted in this thread:
    https://www.ski.com.au/xf/posts/1992616

That one copies into the current snow report pages for all site uses to view.

Trip reports started in other threads will be moved to that thread and closed so just put them there to start with to save everyone the effort.

Last few posts from here have already been relocated and this thread now locked.
