    Hi,

I will be comming into Tokyo from Madarao and looking for somewhere to park the car for 3 days. before heading to fujikawaguchiko.

I am looking for somewhere around 1000 yen per day to park the car outside of the city for those 3 days. Does anyone have ideas? (Staying with friends in city for free but no parking)

At Shinjuku, that's most likely to be 500yen per hour

Here we go. It says Parking type: Daily. That's because you can park all day. BUT it also says "Showing rates for: 1 hour"

    Ok, here:
About 500m from JR Hachioji Station. Times Hachioji Koyasumachi #6 (this is the same group that rents cars, 24 Times)

    And this says 8am - 10pm, 200yen/hour, 10pm-8am, 100yen/hour. But maximum for 24 hours is 800yen.

In this case, you drive in towards Tokyo on the Chuo Expressway (from Madarao, making sure you take the Chuo, not the Joshinetsu), get off at Hachioji and park. Then catch the JR Chuo Line to Shinjuku (ot Tokyo station).
You also get ahead start out to Kawaguchi, so you don't have to pay expressway tolls, Hachioji-Shinjuku-Hachioji.
