Snowing again. Most cams aren't showing it yet. Blue Cow Live Cam does (puking right now) but you cannot get a still.
From my own excursions into the western side of the range and through the Jagungal area ,there doesnt seem to be many around these days due to various factors ,chief of these is a rampant wild cat population (something we are dealing with quite aggressively ,cat lovers leave me alone - these are no longer domestic pets ,they are total feral and need to be exterminated ). With that said however these diminutive creatures are fairly hard to spot and only exist in certain locations through the West Wall and Jagungal area.
Spotted a huge tabby just uphill from Sponars this October, I did let Parks know the same day. Curious as in October 2018 I spotted a dingo just up hill from Ski Rider, so very similar area to above, again let Parks know the same day, they did get excited about this report.
Plenty of cats on the roads at night as i travel around NSW lately. Somethigng that i didn't really see a couple of years back.
Are you sure it wasnt a lifty, turned feral after the season, they can start to look pretty scraggly! I nearly ran over a cat on the TVT.
Here you go folks. At one point snow was falling as heavy as any time this Winter. 4WD required. Road to CP closed. Snow down as far as Ski Rider on the way out. Just random shots. Up to 20 cms in places.... As an aside... @rocketboy ... do you recall someone saying they would be sending skiing pics in November? Just need that road open . Oh, @robbo mcs. Noel was after VM today
Ask the folks at Corroboree Lodge. They are there. No idea if they are open but posting lots on Insta.
Hey buddy.... thought you said the season was done in May . See you tomorrow. The Brewery around 3 for anyone in town.
Well...., it’s November .......that’s skiing from May through to now! A few pics from today. Snow was deep in parts but heavy. Still... it’s November and folks are still skiing. In fact, found @rocketboy out and about. Can’t miss that jacket!!
I had my car serviced recently. As part of the service they fill out a section on the condition of the car. This is what is looks like after a couple of seasons parking in the perisher carpark
If only people used the pedestrian crossing more, instead of squeezing past cars. I'm glad I've got an old crappy car I take to the snow, as every time I washed it there was a new scratch.
I got into the habit of unfolding the side mirrors. At least when sticking out , they provided some dis-encentive for peeps trying to squeeze through .
I have such a clearly defined impression of a 160cm ski embedded in the drivers side door of my XV, you can almost work out the din setting on the binding! Oh.......it was parked alongside the pedestrian crossing the day it "magically" appeared. Lots of other dings all around the car but (think) just as many of them appeared after trips to Nuggets. People are careless, or the wind was blowing, or the kid was being a shit, or the trolley took off........ But........just a car............ever parked in Paris?
I know we all often whinge about the stupid things that go on in lift lines We are not alone This is quite a funny thread I saw on TGR ski forums https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/showthread.php/331121-Lift-Line-Stupidity Includes this gem of a photo. I think we should get Peter B to order one of these signs for when Perisher install the new 6 chair on MT P
I didn’t ski all season due to a new arrival in late March but I was down there for a long weekend and had a chance yesterday, so thought why not? Edit: Sun Valley and plenty of walking btw
Looking a tad hazy up on Main range ATM. Couldn't see any reason to walk to the top of Mt Koz - view would be average at best.
