You reckon there will be no season extension because of these temps plus next Wednesday's rain? Seems high enough to melt this week's pow deluge.

Another 10 on the stick since the last turn :).
Its not showing any sign of stopping soon on the western side and indecently cold for late September.
Droving a mob down to the Tooma Creek this afternoon ,truckie didnt want to go any further up the road. This is where your good dogs pay for their keep and justify the $$$ they cost in the first place. Love my dogs ,great bunch.:D

Eyre skied well until it didn’t this morning. First runs over there with @Normo and @robbo mcs. It skied quite nicely for 6 or so runs. But folks eventually realised the T was running and tracked it out.

Plenty of new snow though and some really heavy snowfalls at time. Not a lot of breeze at the base but plenty enough up top.

Did a few runs down International T... It could easily make a season reopening tomorrow - just for the weekend.

Snow that has fallen will hold up for a few days.

    Did not stop for pics.

Oh, should we stop the car and turn around then?

Or perhaps, and don't share this with anyone else on the Forum, you need a way of infiltrating the Perisher app, to throw people off the scent. ;)

Hasn’t stopped snowing all day and the rate of snowfall has been fairly constant. Hardly any wind which is a bit of a novelty for a snow day :p

Laps of Eyre the pick for me despite its rumored closed status. Plenty of fresh around for everyone
Today has been a real treat compared to last week. Very happy to be out and enjoying it.

In Europe it means go past here at your own risk and if we have to come and get you we will bill you for the cost. I have no problems with that.

Patrollers can stop you getting back on the lift, but they can't stop your free movement in your national park.

    There are gradations of “closed”,

To me a closed sign is really advisory, ie lift is not running, there may be hazards etc. Don’t really know how patrol feel, but I have skiied right past closed signs next to patrol and they have never had an issue

Closed sign wth a rope, personally I wouldn’t duck the rope, but some do.

Sign saying “closed, passes will be revoked” which does appear occasionally. This means there is a very good reason why you can’t go there, eg there might be a groomer using a winch, and cable can kill people, might be an avalanche risk after a big storm on the steepest slopes etc. If you duck that rope and get caught by patrol, good luck;)

Good to have eyre running this morning:thumbs: Great work by the resort and staff to get it going, greatly appreciated:D

As @SMSkier mentioned, the t-bar track for international looks good, so that could see a return tomorrow.

The snow was good early, but quickly became chopped and suprisingly heavy:( Hopefully overnight with colder temperatures and more accumulation, tomorrow will stay in better condition, and not be as heavy. So keep on snowing:nerd:

The art of rope ducking is one that needs to be mastered, eg at Whistler there are some ropes you can quite perfectly duck and others, well, that would be like following @telecrag

Haha, the one time I was with someone who mentioned the closed sign as we went past, and I gave my answer, she ended upside down suspended over a creek.

I think @DidSurfNowSki mentioned the sign that time we got ignored by the head of SP, as no-one was ever there.

Just for the record, I don't advise people do it. You either have the experience/knowledge, or you go with someone who does, or you don't do it. It also pays to know as many SP as possible.

Today was nothing short of epic! Conditions were perfect nearly everywhere. Eyre (which wasn’t open ;)) was really good first thing until it got a little cut up. Leichhardt and Happy Valley off piste around the trees was awesome as well. One of the best days I have had skiing in Australia in along time! (Just wish there was more terrain open)
