Wow. Mine is around 7L/100km on average, and less than 6 on the highways. Yours is a bit older than mine, granted (and I have a diesel which is more economical).

I think part of the results are driven by the foot in charge

I got mine down to 7.6 on the highway which I was stoked with.

Driving around the city on the dily basis isnt helping.....

Two of my kids share a Subaru Liberty about the same age as your car. Driving it to/from their local jobs and general local running-around they get around 11l/100km, and like you end up in the 7-ish range on long trips. They were worried there was something wrong with the car (when they started paying for the petrol themselves - before that I have to say they didn't seem to care as much...), but I told them that's just more-or-less how it is. FWIW my (manual) XV gets about 6l/100km for sustained running in the 80-100km/h range, but rather worse at 110km/h (the engine is a bit wimpy so the little extra speed makes it breathe a lot harder); for the first few km each trip from cold it is ridiculously high consumption too, likely the same as yours and my sons'.

If you want to have a good laugh, go back and have a read of the 2019 forums and all the things that we complained about this year. Makes me appreciate the season that much more that we had this year.

Some highlights I found in my browse were 5 people on the V8, not sharing T-bars with people, people not packing in like sardines at lift lines, no good snow arriving before the 2nd week of July. Puts it all into context......

I must say the snow is receding very quickly this year...
Our ASX achieves 6.2/100 on the highway, especially in the cool of winter and 7-8 around town. Its not an AWD buty with a set of winters its evened up.

My only complaint is the BC in Canada has earlier snow than last year and I cannot get there. I did get 13 days in this year, just none here. All cashed up now.

I guess you're convincing me the season is really over:(

So the jacket has had a bath, the skies cleaned waxed and asleep and the boots polished.
Managed just a week on snow which the brain thoroughly enjoyed but the ol knee is still complaining about. i think I'll cut off communications with that knee till next season - see if it wakes up in a better mood!
Cheers to everyone I managed to catch up with, look forward to more next season and hopefully catch up so many more I missed....
makes me realise its not just the snow but sharing time, lifts, runs, Jax anticipation and barpit stories and laughs with the skicom community that makes the season special.
And so good to see new peeps emerging and their much appreciated reports and pics .

    Cheers all :)

I'm surprised the Perisher marketing department is still keeping the "Normo" sham account running. The season is over !

It doesn't seem all that long ago that this forum shocked them into needing to create it with the "Is normo real?" thread (which makes for some great reading now): https://www.ski.com.au/xf/threads/is-normo-real.49197/

After the fires earlier this year ............. yeah after that my life has been pretty normal. Self Isolation and Social Distancing .......... at last they have a descriptor for my regular life :) and washing hands ,well I work with animals so that was and always has been a given. Only time I have had to wear a mask was up on the hill (I wore a full head balaclava) ,to be honest I didnt mind it at all and actually became quite comfortable with it very quickly. The half capacity lifts was offset by "half" capacity population on the hill and was actually good ,wouldnt mind those numbers every year. Snow depth was average ,quality was up and down with some superb days and some not so superb.
All up .......... pretty normal ,pretty average and loved winter as usual.:D:D:D:D:D

Last couple of seasons I have been adopting the lightweight balaclava concept more frequently. Not only saves the face from the ravages of UV, frostbite and wind burn but also helps to regulate the dripping nose:):)

Cool at minus 2 and intermittent snow early on. As I was leaving a couple of snowboarders were heading from the PV carpark for FV . Snow on the road was melting reasonably fast.

Eyre - I reckon about 5-7 cms in spots where it was not melting. Packed and super dense snow.

    Around the village.

    One for @Normo

    Around Nth P area.

    Can’t forget Smiggs....

    More up at CP.
