A few lifts then switched ski gear. Went for a look about with @hillyb

Up the 8 then footed it up to a line between goats and mid. Over HV T Bar track. Still needs a lot of work.

    Headed this way towards Olympic.

Couple of pics near the dogleg.

    Vista onto Mt P.

Machine snow on Mt P. Looks decent but needs a good deal more. Sketchy skiing and caution required.

Dropped down towers to the Leichhardt connecting track (well it’s not a track at the moment) to the base of HV, up the Leichhardt chair and back to base. A bit over 2.5 hours. Not a quick trek but good training on Olympic and simply nice out there anyway.

Will be good to do these loops using the lift system at some point but still fun now in such good weather. Nice social distancing as well. Clearly more snow is needed with lots of hazards so caution required if off piste.

I am probably not the right person to ask but IMO only......30 cms should, when packed, get towers open, HV, maybe some of the runs under Leichhardt where you can see it’s been building. Centre Valley probably. Not sure about Inter and Eyre. I think not as it probably needs more to fill in at lower elevations - however I am guessing at best. I could readily ski Sun with another 30 cms but the lift track may not fill in.

I’ve not been to Blue Cow but did get told this morning to see more opening up today. But, that was put paid to by one of the patrollers who said otherwise. 30 cms would probably see a bit open there.

    Guesswork on my part.

If we see a lot of wind with the snow I imagine the dogleg drift will start building nicely.

For $28 I paid for some normality today ... way cheaper than the out of pocket on a session with a shrink.

Were they actually available to add to your cart? I can see those dates (and those dates only) but when clicked on I get a sold out prompt. Checked within a minute of your post.

Day trips are the only way I go, too much of a pain to get accommodation/time off work and I don't mind skiing afternoons, it's quieter. Though I would normally try for 1 - 2 pm.

I can live without the stress. Plenty of skiing to be had after 13 July and there might even be some snow.

There's a security flaw in the shop, which I alerted Perisher about a few days ago (through the online contact form) but I've not heard anything back yet. At the end of the season, or sooner if it won't present a current issue, I'll report it here.

    I like your hat - it's a nice white colour. :)

I discovered a coding but not security issue with the Hotham shopfront, whereby lesson prices are higher if you are logged in on an account with an Epic Aus Pass than if not. I've reported this twice and had my concerns summarily dismissed.

-2 in the carpark. Guns still pumping on Goats and up high on Mt P.
