I really think they should have sold/reserved Half Day access. 7.30-12 / 12-4.30 I guess the carpark might have been an issue, but for most people, they would have skied a bit harder and had less hot chocolate :)

How can that happen, very strange if you had it in cart technically it should be yours especially if you checked out straight away.

The Qld border is opening. The Qld border is opening! From July 10th, travel into Qld is all good to go...unless you're from Victoria.

Now, I just have to sit here attentively until the tickets for the days I want come available.

There is a guy sitting in the trees at the top of Goats with a rifle, culling the herd.

They figured people falling over at the bottom of goats and not getting up wont attract attention.

Yeah, they will just push them aside to help provide underlay for the ski cross course with the lack of snow we have.

    > 2020 Epic Australia Pass, 2019-20 Epic Pass and 2019-20 Epic Military Pass holders will be able to make Perisher pass access reservations for the period 6 July to 10 July at 8:30am on Wednesday 1 July.

Looks like they are only releasing midweek tickets, guessing they are waiting to see how the snow in the next few days turns out.

Wanted to do Fri-Mon, but that's going mean getting tickets in 3x released

At this stage there are no bookings required for the 13th onwards.

If they were to require bookings, and people didn't get the, that would be a PR disaster imo. People would have well and truely booked accommodation and bought Epic Passes on the premise that they would have unlimited access. The snow conditions are making me nervous.

Yes they’ve already extended the refund date for EPIC Passes once, if they require bookings post 13 July they may need to extend again.

I know this has been asked and no one really knows but does anyone have any intel as to when non epic pass holders will get access to August ski passes ? Is it going to be week by week releases, or would they eventually just open it up ?

Here's hoping that after 13th July it is business as usual. That's assuming the runs all get sufficient snow to open up.

Fingers crossed that once school holidays are over the demand for tickets aligns with the runs available and ticket allocations become a thing of the past.

Re 13th July - Vail would need to rewrite and promulgate their own fair use policy to do otherwise........see below.

    Subject to the Fair Use Policy, the Epic Australia Pass will entitle the Pass Holder to reserve lift accesss for the Pass Holder’s personal use in the period 24 June 2020 to 12 July 2020, subject to available inventory. The Pass Holder’s reserved access is non-transferable and intended for use by the Pass Holder only. While Pass Holders may receive priority allocations to available inventory for this period, capacity constraints mean that we cannot guarantee that a Pass Holder will have access to any or all reservations that they seek for this period. However, the Pass Holder must register (in advance) for each individual day that they plan to use the Pass, and lift access will not be provided without advance registration;

ii. From 13 July 2020, the Epic Australia Pass will entitle the Pass Holder to unrestricted, unlimited access to Perisher, Mt Hotham and Falls Creek for remainder of the 2020 Australia season.

Sure.......but who for? We already know it’s 50% operating capacity under current guidelines / restrictions. The clause allows for unrestricted access from the 13th. To limit for pass holders, which was the point, they have to change current policy. Easily done I suppose.

    Meantime...... Night skiing ain’t busy.

TBH I think we'll be fine.
The season seems to be tracking historically normal if we get 20-30 CM this Thurs on .

You think so? The current season is tracking at 50 % of average, and less than '06. Good luck with your "if".

It is easy enough for them to vary the terms and conditions if they wish, eg they could push back the date of unrestricted access if they wished. They just need to enact this from the T&C's. Basically they can change the T&C's by just posting a new version on the website.

    i. We retain the right, acting reasonably, to vary these Terms and Conditions from time to time, including to further respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the operations of our resorts and the health and safety of guests at our resorts. Any variations become effective on posting of the changes on the Website and we encourage users to access and review this document regularly to keep abreast of such changes.

Now I think they really would be desperate not to do this, for various reasons. However, they have that get out of jail card up their sleeve

What is demand normally like after the holidays? I'd imagine that it stays strong as more snow would continue to fall and open more runs up.

unilateral variation clauses are often viewed dimly by the courts and the ACCC. If they decide to require pass holders to book after 12 July then they might want to also offer refunds to pass holders for what would be a fairly big shift in T&Cs.

They may turn around and say you must register but without applying limits.

Gives then a heads up about who is coming when. The locals are always there, but there are others like me who are there for specific weeks.

They can then plan how many other tickets they can sell.

Yes historically its good, Remember Winter is late because of ocean warmth , so June 22 is the go. We are 8 days in with 30cm on the viewer this week end and snow making going ok.
We have been spoilt for 3 years.. I would normally be finished 14 days stint , but happy with 27 July start..

Well what I reported is a server-side issue. I don't think it matters whether you have an Epic or not. I'm only mentioning it *vaguely* here in the hopes that someone monitors this forum and sends me an email so they can fix it. :p I don't hold out that much hope! I'm not a security researcher, so I can't properly assess severity but that being said I'd say "mild". However rest assured that at the end of the season I will let everyone know what I found (as well as any response from Perisher) and you can all be the judges over it.
