I put a couple of reports in the obs thread so a few pics may be doubled up.

By and large 10-15 cms of the wettest snow I’ve skied (well kinda skied) since May. Started at base of Quad, then skinned up towards top station. The weather looked promising at this point and I figured I’d get up top somewhere however it closed in again so I bailed at that group of trees just down from top station.

The last push down front valley was…. well let’s say difficult .

Will be better with a freeze. Pics roughly in order.

At this stage I figured it was push on up top before it closed in again.

Then the “push back to base”.

I'm so torn. My mates all have epic, Thredbo betrayed me, it's a better price but there is still something about queueing for a really short 200-300m lift that rubs me the wrong way.

Guess I'll end up pulling the trigger and keep my fingers crossed that they have mountain collective at par this year, and I see it in time to get one.

You need to realize the Tele crowd will run spreadsheets on how to save weight on their gear; then cart around 20Kgs of camera gear. They're funny that way.
Since the IPhone, I’ve saved nearly a kg of camera gear.

I note recent Mobiles are ~ 1/4 weight of the early CDMA house bricks of mid-late 90s! It’s also great not needing to screw in an aerial to the phone, when in the bush - these days?
