Thats Fantastic! Perisher has some awesome terrain. Great Vid!
i'll be there in 3 weeks wish it was sooner
Well I am going to be up there tomorrow
No idea why you weren't there VSG, but even hungover worse than at SIC the skiing on Saturday was SENSATIONAL! We played a fair bit around leicharddt as it was sheltered from those nasty winds they reported as gentle but were quite stinging.
I was....and the 5th....in all the right places at the right time
What a weekend. My first snow trip since 2004. My last day was riding knee deep powder in the trees and coming unstuck and breaking my hand when i hit a tree.
So i was pumped for this trip. Good snow everyday (fri-Sun), Sat and Sunday morning were just epic. Better than any day ive had in aus, and as good as any day i have had OS. Freshies to be found all day if you went to the right spots.
Like the blog shows, Ayre Tbar was the pick of the spots. Got freshies even late in the day out wide, although the trek back to the lift wasnt fun!
Awesome weekend. If only we could rely on snow that good all the time!
I was there. Sat was awesome and Sunday was even better. Cutting fresh tracks wide of eyre on Sunday morning was probably the best skiing i've had in Australia. Overall an awesome weekend (even the speeding ticket couldn't dampen it). Saw a few people with snowatch stickers on helmets etc and a captiva with massive snowatch sticker on the back but didn't see anyone with ski.com.au.
Olympic was just epic all day.........
I was going to take heaps of pics but the snow was too good to stop.
Had a lot of fun in the trees to the left of excellerator on Saturday, there certainly was a lot more than 5cm of snow. Kamikaze was nice in the morning and had a deceptive layer of ice at the top which seemed to be puting people off. The lift lines were non existent on the ridge after around 2pm so that was nice to.
I hate youse all.
Good for you Chuck. Glad you had a good time.
Best week of boarding I've had since 2000 and it killed me to leave yesterday.
Olimpic, left of excelorator, rock garden, kamakazie, and wide of eyre and everything inbetween keeping me going until close with a smile on the dial
Did Threadbo Sunday as the Sat lift lines were longer than I liked and enjoyed an uncrowded mountain with everything in spectacular condition and the best top to bottom boarding I've ever had there.
Perfect with a capital P
Missus frog had a snowatch sticker on the back of her helmet and the Captiva with the large stickers on the back was ours.
Sun 5th was the best sking for me since 2000. An absolute gem. Thredbo was uncrowded and top to bottom powder.
I was behind her in the line for the double chair then and was behind you guys driving into to jindy sunday afternoon (silver VY SS).
I was there yesterday 06 aug. Got plenty of pics too.
Richard's report for 5 August for Thredbo is a cracker!!! .. PB must have been same. http://www.ciau.com.au/snow/rrr.asp
FLI355, I would have been next to her in the line, bright green jacket.
I was there from Friday to Monday. Easily the best day of the season was Sunday. Even the crowds couldn't annoy me.
Yep I rememember looking at you and thinking I wonder if that's the frog.
I was there on the 7th and it was sensational until the wind hit at midday. Thredbo was nowhere as good a quality snow on the 6th as PB was on the 7th.
I was there
