I bought a freedom pass last year and I was sooooooo certain that I had the ski-tube add-on.

Apparently there's no record of this being on my account and now the price for a season ski-tube pass is $250.... *rolls eyes*

Anyone else experience this problem?

LOL! This has just given me a vision of a carpark brekky tailgate bbq like at the gridiron games in USA. I assume this is not what you do but it is a pretty funny image of lots of people socialising in the Perisher car park at 6am in the cold having brekky.

No I got mine alright with skitube ,although I had to ring them around Nov,Dec last year as they sent me a email asking If I wanted to add it on ,but I had already done so at time of purchase, which they confirmed, so I don't know why they sent me the email .

I had a similar problem with the ski tube add ons for my family having dropped off the system. Fortunately, I had an email from Perisher confirming that I had the add ons on all my family passes.

Same here, must have been a standard email sent to everyone. I suspect the marketing ppl rushed the Freedom pass into existence without talking to IT first. Quelle surprise!

In any event they took the right amount from my CC this month so I assume it's all OK. I might print out the email where they confirmed my pass + skitube and take it with me when I go to collect, just in case.

Well, they're sticking to their guns and it looks like I wont get the ski-tube pass...
What are my options aside from the $250 ski tube season pass?

Have you still got your initial email Tax Invoice when you first paid your deposit. It will have on it whether the ski tube is included.

Freedom pass holders need to make a donation to ski this weekend - according to the announcement video on youtube.

Re: Perisher "Freedom" season pass 2012

Does anyone have any info in regards to supplying a photo for the pass. Do you have to upload it or can they just take one when we get there?

I do remember reading something vaugly about it.

I don't have a photo on my pass. Maybe just as well. I think it only has the photo if you join MyRide.

Re: Perisher "Freedom" season pass 2012

What sort of pass do you have? Do they print the photos on the credit card style passes? I thought the photos came up on the lifties' screens or something.

I only had a cardboard ticket style 5-day pass last year so I have to go to a ticket office to pick up my freedom pass this year. They told me I could upload my photo if I wanted, but if it didn't "meet the criteria" I'd have to have my photo taken at the ticket office before I got my pass. They were suitably impressed when I suggested that I wouldn't be any prettier in the ticket office :)

A Freedom Pass,sly_062. I collected it from the ticket office when I went there last September for my 'free' day.

I'm not in MyRide Club and technically it is not a season pass, so it doesn't have my pic on it.

However it is plastic rather than cardboard, to last the distance I guess.

No passes have photos anymore. Printing was problematic....and pointless. A ipad at the gates gives all the info

My Epic Pass has my photo just fine but either way as one keeps both tucked inside the jacket on the left side the photo serves no purpose really, as far as I can tell, and by eliminating them the costs to the resort surely must decrease.

Yep If you have a pass that needs a photo to be suplied, your name and photo comes up when you go through the gates.
Not sure what will happen at the food outlets for the 15% discount.

Re: Perisher "Freedom" season pass 2012

Forgot to ask for the 15% discount when we had lunch - would have saved us only about $6 yesterday but I guess it all adds up over a season.....

Is the discount at any food outlet when we flash our myRide passes......?

Re: Perisher "Freedom" season pass 2012

IIRC the fine print says something like "at every Perisher-owned food outlet". So I guess you just ask first time at every one you go to unless you already know which ones aren't Perisher-owned.

Re: Perisher "Freedom" season pass 2012

Used the $20 credit that was added on to our cards when myRide was 1st introduced last year to buy lunch last weekend. Was kind of a pleasant surprise - credit didn't expire which is pretty cool.
