    Hi all

I haven't done a spring trip in 20 years. I was planning on heading to Perisher for September 13th and 14th, but its only worth it if Guthega/Blue Cow are still open, otherwise I would prefer Thredbo. Anyone know what dates they normally close these areas? Cheers!

The annual retreat from Guthega and Blue Cow will have begun.

wait till closer and see what the conditions are like then book. It could be a couple of weeks of blizzard, or it could be a couple of weeks of rain, or a couple of weeks of sunshine.

Im definitely going on those dates. Leave etc for our group is organised already and can't be changed. So Akimbo are you saying Guthega and BC will be closed regardless of snow cover

Guthega "usually" closes around the 20th Sept
    BC a week later
However BC has been opened even later.

It depends on the amount of cover, and how much patronage they have. It's before school holidays though, so if there is snow they should be open.

    Should be open, snow permitting.
