So, with P not handing out the trail maps this year.. (my kids froth over them and mark them up each day to show where they went.. ) I'm trying to find a high-res copy of the trail maps.
Have saved the grooming maps in jpeg off the website, but the quality is not great.
Any ideas help would be appreciated....

Agree. Very hard to use phone with gloves on. Easier to whip out a paper map.

I don't see how you can get Covid from a paper map.

A lot of that is people picking it up, looking at it and putting it back they are trying to mitigate.

Agree plus it can survive on surfaces including paper and cardboard.

    Paper
    Examples: mail, newspaper
The length of time varies. Some strains of coronavirus live for only a few minutes on paper, while others live for up to 5 days

    Cardboard
    Examples: shipping boxes
    24 hours

Anyway, if you want a trail map, there are still some on the reception counter at the Sundeck

I'd be more worried about someone wiping their nose on their glove, then the safety bar and then you touching it....

With the general public picking up the maps from the counter, could have solved that by wrapping each map in plastic.

With getting covid from map to face, that's just general personal safety precaution that applies to everything else, ie, don't touch face/nose after touching any article.

Phone usage while skiing sucks in general I try to minimise it. Map in phone is the worst idea. Gloves can't be used with the screen and tiny screen is no substitute for big and wide paper view.

Perisher’s trail signage is just between appalling and rubbish.

The map is a poor 2 dimensional distortion of a 3 dimensional hill.
There are runs I have been looking for for years but can't wrap my head around the 3d reality being so different to the 2d map.
I love the map and also prefer having the paper one (i usually save several as keepsakes from every year I go) but geeze I wish there were a lot more signs that showed exactly where runs are.

While I was waiting for my new National Parks passes to be produced in the Jindy office last week, I walked around the historical exhibits there. This old trail/lodge map caught my eye. Two noteworthy features: a rope tow between the bottom of Telemark and (near enough to) the bottom of North Perisher - which would still be pretty handy in both directions (other than being awkward for the oversnow route), and Robbo's Tenacious Tree.

Actually, thats @rocketboy tree:D That’s the one just over the back of Mt P towards vista. Careful exploration by a few forum members last year demonstrated it was actually a whole group of stunted trees at that elevation;)

That lift from Thredbo Valley up to Charlotte's Pass must have been over some sensational terrain. The views must have been phenomenal. Out of interest, (off topic I know) where did the chairlift to Charlotte's start? It appears to be from somewhere between Bullocks Flat and Thredbo???

I haven't looked at a trail map or needed trail signage for over 30 years so can't see the problem. My kids and now grandkids can tell me which lifts/trails I need to use to get from any point A to any point B anywhere in the resort area. One grandchild even knows how many lift points (chairs ,tees ) are supposed to be on any lift ,kid has some problems I know :):):)

FWIW: I love my ski maps - I reckon they’d be more sustainable if printed on media with a (recyclable?) plastic coating. Rather than ‘pulping’ one or two per day in wet weather.

As they stand, paper maps are a good test as to the waterproofing performance of one’s jacket?
Or ski pack top pocket? o_O

When we were in one of the Jindy ski shops in 2019 (no idea which one) I picked up a goggle cleaning cloth printed with the Perisher trail map on it. :D
