Dry cover over icy base on Sth side.
Nth side still quite firm higher up.

You could tell skiing it that it wont take much to warm it back up again.
Today Sth side, Summit / Howqua etc will be nice and a touch softer.
But after that, see what happens with temps and ensuing falls.

Today was still pretty cold! The last guns turned off at about midday. Not a chance to soften up with the warmest temp of -1.9 according to WZ. Mens downhill must have been recently groomed in the past few days as it had a nice bit of soft on top of an ice block, infact the whole hill was like that. Got caught on the shortcut bit on standard and slammed down hard, ouch.. watched 3 others do the same thing

. They must have made a shite load of snow overnight, because in all snowmaking areas there was a nice squeaky few cm on top. LBS and wombat held up really well, didnt mogul up at all and made for some nice high speed assaults down them even late in the day, especially on LBS after the uni SL and GS events were finished.
favs of the day were LBS, summit slide (only mid loading) and skiers right of summit lift into howqua.

It was bottom loading yesterday, the op said last run at 3PM though.
Wasnt too thin to the bottom bit.
Maybe saving it for the w/end.

well, just to clarify, they were loading at the bottom but i think this was traffic from horse hill only heading that way. 'run closed' signs up at the mid load point and only groomed to that point. i wasnt game enough to head down there from HH in the AM in case i got stuck!
