So can POW now fix our weather, so we get some rain (down low, not in the hills)?

Mediocre forecaster at best. I’d trust the grasshopper over him. It’s a no from me in the vote whether to make him a moderator.

@POW_hungry has been given an adiabatic lift and now sits stationary on an elevated plain. Congrats @POW_hungry on being an upgraded model and reaching an upper level high. Very cool

Joining @Claude Cat and @Kletterer, I see an excellent thermodynamic weather ensemble. Even with variables, this is one case where “two’s company three’s a cloud” does not apply. Without POW’s input, it would be a mist opportunity.

I predict this to be a positive development of ridgy (didge) goodness throughout the entire date range. I forecast no negative lows on the charts with this weather model.

I observe having POW as mod will be a breeze, and expect our system to rotate around low pressure. The deterministic models show this warm high should continue well beyond the 4 day rule

    IMO

I am assuming this was a tongue in cheek attempt at humour ?
POW has improved his and our knowledge by extention over the past few years and is now one of the proven few forecasters I take notice of in here. Sure he can be a bit on the hopecast side early days after sighting an event but who isnt ? As an event forms he is usually insightful and reasonably accurate more often than not. Besides that he puts in some hours at SKI.com weather "office" which is appreciated by some of us. Good on you old cock ,keep it up :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

@Richard I see that yet again I have been overlooked for a moderator position. Despite my elite qualifications,
a Diploma in Moderation from the Ponds Institute (hons) and years of experience toiling in forum mines.

In anticipation of the next moderator vacancy, I hereby offer my resume for your consideration:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1. Moderation philosophy -
    arbitrary, impetuous, vindictive.

    2. Moderator role model. Yossarian from Catch 22. He had to censor letters from WW2 soldiers. His approach:

To break the monotony he invented games. Death to all modifiers, he declared one day, and out of every letter that passed through his hands went every adverb and every adjective. The next day he made war on articles.

He reached a much higher plane of creativity the following day when he blacked out everything in the letters but a, an and the.
One time he blacked out all but salutation "Dear Mary" from a letter.

    3. Sample work - after applying my skillz, @Kelpieboy 's post above would look like this:

    I am [redacted] tongue [redacted]
    POW has
improved his and our knowledge by extension over the past few years and is now one of the proven few forecasters I take notice of in here.
Sure he can be [redacted] Besides that [redacted]
    [redacted] cock [redacted]
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I eagerly await your positive response.

Certainly ticks a lot of boxes though. Kinda had me at ‘vindictive’

But in the end, the argument for the affirmative was waaaaaay too structured and logical - and there’s no room for that kind of inherent approach here.

But the Yossarian approach is chaotically compelling. Nice touch @Zeroz.
