this is becoming a real problem and here is a real solution .
We all know that global warming is affecting our ski industry . From watching four corners this week there is a staggering problem with recycling and industrial waste . Mountains of shit in ... frankly .. bloody pain in the arse innapropriate areas . Here is a solution . Simply dump all this shit on our ski resort areas . This will significantly raise the height of average lifted areas and buy us some time against the ravages of climate change and arv the same time solve this embarrassing problem and remove the heat from pesky investigotive journos . Mountains of this shit dumped in innapropriative areas is frankly becoming a problematic area so let's put it where it will really provides a solution and where it matters . I had this idea along time ago. National parks wont like it. But a better location is available just outside of Sydney. Mt' Trickett plateau already at 1365m asl, and with a area of 4km long by 2km wide plateau top base to work from. So say you want to make a cone mountain with a 45 degree slope you could gain an extra 1000 meters, thus making Tricket Plateau 2365m asl, higher than Kossi. Being just outside of Sydney, the waste wont have to travel far, and you have a population of 5 million people within a 2 hour drive to this new snow field. Build resorts, and visit local attractions like Jenolan caves and Kanangra Walls. Will actually be quite economical. You probably don't need to go so high, maybe 1800 - 2000m will be enough. :)

And all that land up at Tricket is Private land, so no national park or state forest bodies to worry about.

And we can use the methane to generate power for the snow making!

Summer grooming takes on a whole new thing though!

Over here in the west we've often looked to Twiggy to dump his mining tailings on top of bluff Knoll - it already gets snow (a few times this winter already!) so a bit of extra height and Albany could become the next Jindy!

Go the Smiggin Holes Winter Olympics!

"... Roy and HG proposed that either Mount Kosciuszko be raised 300 metres (from its current height of 2,228 metres), or that a new mountain be built in Smiggin itself, which would be named Mount Steggall, after Australian Nagano slalom bronze medalist Zali Steggall. "We've just got to get the nation to dump all its rubbish on top of Kosciuszko, compact it a bit and voila, Mount Steggall."

    Many miles too far north.
