Isn't dreaming a requirement for the Aus ski season.

The end of this period is looking better than the beginning IMO. Looks like there's some stuff getting back up later on that may produce.

That high squashing the Sunday/Monday part of the system on latest EC runs sadly.
However, perhaps a bit in store for Tuesday night.

Yeah the low is centred a bit to far South and the models have gone with the evening downgrade again.

But something is definitely happening in this period IMO

Wanna go? Running it by missus tonight, then finding some flights. Yrno has lined up next to a metre until next week then clear weekend.

Good plan, and it's going to land on a bit of a base all be it a wet one. Still remnants of Barry at 8-900m.

Cradle area would be my pick but Mawson could be good after it turns more southerly and anywhere in between.

BOM PM forecast for Perisher and T'bo has just upped the moisture on Sat to 8-20mm, big increase on this morning, but temps might be marginal down lower

Sat 1st morning to Sunday 2nd lunch. Vic resorts get moisture mostly early Sat.

Looks good for NSW resorts. Keeps up both days. I'd say 15-20 cm.

This system is definitely on over a prolonged period with Wednesdays Looking the Pick on GFS.

Saturday is bit marginal with temps. Saturday might be okay.

    Sunday will be okay.

    Monday will be okay

    Wednesday looks sick.

Saturday is Windy though, figure there will be all sorts of temperature shenanigans going on. Lower altitudes could still be wet but anything above 1600 /1650 could be ok.

Those charts certainly look good to me - but Jane isn't buying into it yet: "Another front passes through on Wednesday, followed by a surge towards the end of the week - but the next high is moving in, so these just clip the southeast, producing around 5cm"

BOM likes Saturday Night Through to Monday Night IMO. If a 980 low is a Clipper can I order more please. I think the naming convention Clause must be the Low has to be below 980 Hpa. and not cutoff.
So I am calling in HARRY Category 1 snow event

GFS is showing what EC showed yesterday.
EC has backed off a little on midweek (although it's still ok), I expect GFS to follow suite tonight IMO.

Agreed not a significant event on EC just yet. But looks good Saturday Night through till Monday. Could see 30 cm in places

Naming convention: Low must 980 Hpa and further north than 43 degrees south.

    Wednesday fading a bit.
