Any where @762 metres above sea level the 18z ec thinks it maybe howling.

Don't you just love the colour code on seabreeze wind arrows Red = not enough wind to windsurf --- Brown = shitting your pants

Proof that ECMWF skill is leaps and bounds ahead of other global models if that comes off.

    Bump (apologies) but relevant IMO:

...I note that BOM NSW forecasts are much more likely to provide snow (down to) elevations than BOM VIC.

I reckon if we 'bang the drum' often enough - Vic BOM will here (change)? They use the same models - don't they?

The one exception is Baw Baw, where BOM quite frequently quote snow elevations - never an easy task on wet ol' Bawbs!

Note to self - while (snow-above) elevations aren't on many of the resort-specific forecasts, they are in the north east Vic forecast (PM 21 May) - see the link below:

    http://www.bom.gov.au/vic/forecasts/northeast.shtml

So Kudos to BoM VIC, a small but interesting/useful piece of info - esp. into winter when we're rolling the dice re planning a trip!

Vic Bom have always provided snow elevations in the state forecasts. They just don't seem to transpose that to the Vic alps specific forecast.

It’s weird CC, it’s a small ‘attention to detail’ thing that can make quite a big difference to mountain visitors.
