IMO Monday is looking the dampest day of the lot and Friday probably the best day (for lack of precipitation)
Tuesday potentially has the best chance for snow, even if it's a bit wet. IMO
I don't think that makes your choice any easier!

    :sob:

My two weekends of free skiing and they are potentially ruined by rain!

I missed snowmaggeden last year and i missed the big storms this year.

    Not happy Jan!

I wouldn't get to carried away with next weekend yet.
Get through Monday and Tuesday first and see what settles out.

So Friday get out early enjoy it while you can.

Saturday sleep in and wait for it to clear and get out there if it does?

Sunday get out there and survive as long as you can?

    Monday - don't bother?

IMO Saturday and Sunday might not be as bad you think. Yeh it will be a bit wet, but it doesn't look persistent wet - right at the moment.

For those interested in the winds. Saturday 850hpa winds. For those not familiar. 850hpa is roughly resort level. The red is stronger winds.

    Sunday 850hpa winds.

Is this rain going to completely ruin the mountain sunday Monday and Tuesday
I'm at falls Sunday Monday and Tuesday (Sunday Monday night)
Don't mind boarding in the wet but is it juet going to wash it back to ice base and virtually be unable to board on?

Perisher might be ok with the substantial area above 1800m.
Can't see a lot of joy for Victorian resorts, although perhaps there's more moisture further north than south.
    IMO

So this is Friday 7am to Saturday 10am.

Friday looks sweet. Skiing will be over before moisture arrives. :woohoo:

Saturday looks much dryer. Still a bit of moisture. Pack the Poncho.

Yeah its going to rain..... however as we get closer to the event the amount and location have both become more favorable for snow going spots.
    Mind you.

I like Monday into Tuesday for above 1600m only takes a wondering cold pool to break off and I've observed max's being below forecast all season... all IMHO at least damage will be minimal, cold rain does sweet FA

Whats going on with Axs this morning and later next week?
Thursday above 15-1600m suggesting a foot via a wandering cold pool through my very amateur eyes.
Followed by 2 days of ECL r**n. Yuck
Looks whack IMO, can't see that happening

MW model has come back to something a little more reasonable after yesterday's hiccup.
    As expected.
