    Upgrade on cold air and downgrade on warm/moist trans-continental prefrontal. That 140kts West to East jetstream may have helped there.

    Just needs the freeze level to come in with it as that's for 7-10pm tonight and temps are marginal for BB at the moment. I think it will do very well overall this system, being Southerly and all.

    IMO not sure that Baw Baw will do much good until tomorrow morning, but it should be on after that right through Saturday morning.

    Very good. The AXS R 48 hr chart is showing 30-40mm for elevated areas around Orange.

    Yeh, but will be in rain shadow until it turns SW, so even though it's cold enough, moisture levels will rather low. IMO

    Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, heavy rain and showers and strong westerly winds are expected during Thursday and Friday. Areas likely to be affected include the Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes and Snowy Mountains forecast districts and parts of the Northern Tablelands, Illawarra, South Coast and Central Tablelands forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.

    So, based on what we've got so far vs what's to come, anyone wanna make a call for total amounts by saturday arvo/night? I'm going for a total of 70cm for majors (tuesday to saturday)

    Highest point of my property is 860m approx so , yeah , might have my own snowfield for a day :woohoo:. I moved an old rope tow up there just in case , ..........well you never know;)

    BOM saying up to 10mm for Hotham tomorrow, that equates to about 5cm of snow. 20cm will be a big bonus.

    Sorry CC, off topic but can I just say, geez Fallen, that's awesome man! We arrived Sunday evening too, the freeze level was progged for like 1500 and about 5 mins after the last resort entry booth, I said to the lads, 'well, I reckon this rain has gotta go white soon boys'.... 3 turns later it sleeted it's melons off, and the rest my man was farkin history! We did laps off inter into cabbage patch, rock garden, gully glades non stop, dry as Oz gets, freakin special man :D

    good. IMO. especially for the Northern resorts who will continue to get snow from the NW throughout the morning. This is their best aspect for bulk snow falls.
