    Hey guys,

As some of you might have seen in the paper there is currently a proposal in with the government to get a heap of cash for the ben, to cover building a new dam, a heap of snow guns and doing some general upgrades, obviously it would be mega rad if it went through, so I've started a petition to show community support for the idea.. It would be awesome if you guys could sign it and spam the hell out of everyone you know to also sign it!

Examiner article about the proposal: http://www.examiner.com.au/story/1605065/grand-plans-for-cash-splash/

Nothing says credibility more than a petition for Tasmania signed by someone from the Northern Territory.

That may be true, however, as a tourist destination visitors come from everywhere ;-)

Do you really think only Vic and NSW care about the development of their resorts and skiers/boarders/snowenthusiasts are restricted to only the states with ski resorts.

This proposal is far greater than just a ski field development - it will boost local tourism as well as across the state - as there are improvements to be made for year round use of the park.

Sign or don't sign, it is your choice [IMG]

The Western Ranges gets good snow cover every year, right? The westerly fronts are ever so reliable...Mt.Lyell has closed down and the government is seeking input from the public about development opportunities in the west...We have a gung-ho pro-development government in Tasmania at the moment ( apparently ). Is anyone thinking what I'm thinking?

I know there's a love for The Ben and that's OK but maybe there's more opportunities for something new in the wild west ?
