That $377 seems to be just the outbound leg only. Still a good price.

However, Cathay Pacific seems to have some good deals out of Brisbane: $743 round trip.

Yes, a bit more expensive coming back, around $720+, return trip around $1100, this is a lot cheaper than the $1400 return I had been looking at previously. I booked jetstar, including luggage and exit seat came in at $1100 no food or drink included. I am going on more expensive Friday over and return which suits us better though

Only having the outbound leg on sale seems very odd - banking on people just sucking it up and buying the full price return?

JAL from Melbourne is still ~ $850 - and JAL and Qantas are the only ones flying non-stop from Melbourne to Tokyo.

Going throught the link for flights to Europe, next January, comes up with flights more expensive than by choosing flights through the regular QANTAS website. I got $2700 from following the link and $2300ish for SYD-MUC-SYD depart 05 Jan 20 return 20 Jan 20.
