The forecast for Sunday was supposed to be for quite low snow, but it all fell high. This was good for the Remarkables and not so good for Coronet Peak.

There was a very thick cover of cloud in the valley today which was drifting in and out of the base area at the Remarkables. Above it, was brilliant blue sunshine and warm temperatures. The new snow was pretty claggy, but still fun. Sugar Bowl was the pic today.

Remarks is in pretty good shape and should easily last until the closing day given that there's a little more snow due tomorrow and some more next week.

Anyway, time for the pics:

Nice!

Looks like the Remarkables have held up well in spring. I wish the cover was something like that when I visited. Oh well thats just an excuse to go back again sometime

definitely holding up much better than I would have expected... should have gone up in the weekend! Looks like another kicker at the bottom of the park? Homewards probably shot now? Any idea what the chutes are like?

You could probably ski the top quarter of Homewards, but then you'd hit the grass.

Chutes are still good, but all the out of bounds was closed yesterday due to avalanche danger (mind you, that didn't stop a few people heading out)
