Fan Zones also being set up in major centres for those who haven’t got tickets to get amongst the atmosphere.

The cities on the west coast are not so big. Probably a result of inaccessibility in years gone by, due to snow in winter.

I hope that the win will help rugby become more popular in Japan. Japan defeating South Africa in Rugby World Cup 2015 helped rugby become a bit popular in Japan, but not enough at all if compared to football (FIFA World Cup) and Olympics. I like the atmosphere of Japan when Olympics and FIFA World Cup are being held.

Japan v Ireland a few days ago.

4 years ago(Rugby World Cup 2015), I was watching some games with my ski mates, and they only knew some very basic rules such as Knock-on and Throw Forward and they didn't know rules like Not Release the Ball, Not Roll Away etc. They got interested in rugby thanks to the game of Japan v South Africa and now they know the rules to enjoy watching rugby fully;)

Local media are reporting that the viewing rate of Japan v Scotland was 39.2% in Japan, and it's the highest viewing rate of 2019 so far and the viewing rate of the moment of Japan beating Scotland was 53.7%. So, more than half Japanese = more than 60 million Japanese were watching Japan defeating Scotland. It's a quite good sign. Basically, it's only FIFA World Cup that can have 35% or higher viewing rate in Japan(among not only sports but also all kinds of tv programs). The viewing rate of this game = Japan v Belgium of FIFA World Cup 2018 was 30.8%, so it's lower than Japan v Scotland of Rugby World Cup!(Ah, the game was held when Japan was midnight, so it could have been higher than 40% or even 50% if it were held at 8pm)
