Staying there now. Cool little place. We caught the Resort Liner bus, got off at the hotel, porter grabbed our bags, took them inside and got the info people to ring LH. The owner turned up in a little van 10mins later to pick us up.

But it is literally right across the road behind the convenience store (not the 7-11).

Recommendations for dinner here? Last night we just grabbed some noodles in the food court. Will try dinner here at Huset one night but keen to try other places too.

Down the highway, just past the hotel carpark.

From memory last year there was a snow bank between the row of restaurants and the highway. If you were standing in the front door of the hotel, go across the car park and veer left. Great food. I was fond of the first one on the left.

Glad my boards stand out, if i caught someone pinching and riding my board there would be a nasty accident.

You staying here? We tried to get into a restaurant tonight, all full. Perhaps because there were 8 of us. However, we now have reservations for the next 4 nights at 4 different places! Will also try dinner here at Huset one night. We ended up eating in the hotel at a japanese restaurant, which was very nice and reasonably priced.

You can walk into the buffet's in the hotel for $50 (Y4900) a head with no reservation. All you can eat sashimi and king/soft crab makes it kinda worth it. Try the one called Kanten in the north wing if you don't mind spending the yen. The one in the Atrium OK, but missing the sashimi.

there is no way I'm spending 4900 on a buffet (well maybe once)
The strip sounds like where the action is but I'm assuming we will have to go and try and make booking for the whole stay the day we arrive.
If not 7/11 dinner it is

Yeah I was shocked. Never had to reserve in Japan before. Pirate man tonight, not impressed, westernised, expensive, won't go back.

I heard of poor service at Pirate Man due to being so busy. I think the whole scene at Ru outside of the hotel is a result of increasing demand and not much in the way of supply. What do folk think of the property for sale there?
http://www.rusutsupty.com $A75-90K per block, half sold according to the web site.

Looked into buying, blocks are cheap building isn't a few aussie owners there now nearly bought a house 6 years ago for $300K but couldn't get anyone to manage it. put my money somewhere else and just stay in the hotel now.
Although may look elsewhere from now on dont like the crowds and crew that rocks up from Niseko.

Yaki tori restaurant tonight, 2nd one along, upstairs. SUPERB! Have rebooked.

Bit busy on the mountain today and only 8cm reported. Still fun though and the crowds seem to disappear around lunchtime.

Isola 3 quad broke today. They closed off Heavenly and we lapped no 4 for awhile. Then they shut no 4 and we queued up for a skidoo ride up to Steamboat. The queue at Steamboat was reminiscent of Perisher in school hols lol.

Heard that the Tower Pair broke later in the morning too. Tower guests had to monorail over to the gondola to go to East Mtn.

What a mess, couple of breakdown coincidences ? or the maintenance guys getting slack.
There was quite a few stoppages when we were there last year also.

Tonight's restaurant review .. Rodeo Drive one of the 4 little restaurants just past the hotel carpark. Food and service were good and reasonably priced. But we ate pasta and pizza after nibbles of edemame and karaage. Why is it so hard to find japanese food here? So while we left full, we were disappointed in the menu.

Just straight up heavenly trail and got dropped on steamboat B. Had plenty of skidoo rides but they're always fun. Couldn't get him to put the siren on though.

Isola 3 stopped again this morning about 11:30. We managed to be just outside the top station so got stuck for 20mins or so until the backup came on. Got a voucher for coffee for our trouble.

We are trying out the first little restaurant in the group of 4 tonight. review to come.

Desperately needing snow, trees tracked out and bump runs turning into serious bump runs!

Didn't really see too much boganism. Few with flags stuck in helmets. Really a lot more Aussies around over the weekend than today.

Bestest day today. Woke to about 5cm in the carpark but lots more up top. Has snowed most of the day and is still coming down. Knee deep in the Heavenly trees and boot to shin deep on the edge of the groomers. Really cold, I think the forecast was -10c.

A most fun day :D Sunshine forecast for our last day tomorrow.

They haven't been and most of them are covered. We had one really blowy day and everything was still running. They seem to be positioned well in the valleys with just the last few metres exposed.

Another powder day. Snowed all day, freshies all day. Best 2 days to end our time here. Forecast looking a bit dicey for our flights tomorrow.

I may head over tomorrow or Tuesday, I enjoyed it just sticking to the groomers yesterday, so much potential there with a bit of snow. Have u checked out the side country park? West mt was mostly closed yesterday due to a race comp. so didn't get the chance.

Arrived today to fresh snow, love this place. Nice room in the north wing overlooking the lower slopes.
Stuck to westies mnt today with the family, bee line for the other side in the morning.
Yeh, lots more people in the tree's and smashing anything that looks fresh even on west mnt.
I fear the Niseko disease has spred. Overload of Chinese speed racers with no manners.
Some will feel the argey bargey this week as they are re- educated. ;)
