    "Bendigo must be rejoicing?"

You could say that... they had the police out at the spillway to direct the traffic because so many people were out there for a bo-peep. [IMG]

Thomson is at the top, so water can only go OUT of it [IMG]

    Sugarloaf
    Maroondah
    O'Shannassy

    All 100% full

They can pump/release some more into Silvan which is 90% full and then from there to Cardinia, but it takes ages.....

I know... it doesn't seem so strange for me looking east for rain clouds, given I've been in Queensland all week [IMG]

And a nice big bout of tropical weather on it's way, by the looks of things.

would have passed you steve as i fuelled up at Euroa Shell around 10.30pm. Very windy. Car was all over the road. Initially i thought i was getting tired but when i got out to fuel up i worked out why the car was moving around.

Hate the easterly. Not good for anything.
As the fishos will tell you, Wind from the East, brings the least. I'd have to agree.

Wind from the East makes fishing anywhere in the ports pretty much impossible (save some areas near Tankerton in WP). Disgusting ive been out in wind against tide Easterly up the top end and it was some of the worst fishing weather ive ever seen.

Looks very wet again next Tuesday/Wednesday according to both GFS and AXS. Again not a strong cold front more a cut off low + trough at this stage.

The weather is very hard to predict at the moment.
EC (for Melbourne) has a couple of mm for Wed, 5mm Thursday, 6mm Friday, 17mm Sunday, 8mm Monday.

GFS has a massive amount of rain for the entire SE over next 180 hours
    [IMG]

The test in Adelaide looks to be rain affected in the latter stages.
Farmers must be tearing their hair out - now too much rain.

Australia, QLD and NSW are all tracking towards one of the wettest years on record. Flood warning people are keeping a close eye on the next week. Severe crop damage has already been reported.

Wetest spring for Melbourne in 18 years

I suspect Bendigo and the NE it's been a whole lot wetter.

Indeed the article says this ...

GFS & ACCESSG - Going for yet another wet weekend.

My tanks are full, and they overflowed last weekend.

I have nowhere to put the water [IMG]

    What a waste

Here in South Gippsland no records have been broken (or even close) - but rainfall still a tad above average. Nice change from the drought years. East of about Traralgon I hear it's a different story.

I wonder how many trees have come down in the past 48 hours? All this wind after the ground is so wet, and the wind is from the East so not the normal direction, I reckon some big ones could come down soon.

Had a fairly moderate size branch fall down in our yard the other night. I heard the SES got a lot of calls.

Ahh but they have had plenty of rain when we have missed out over the past 4 years due to ECL's. Sale and east often misses out on the drifters that come from the W-NW
2011 may trend back to more fronts and then 2012 is the year of the SW front I reckon. A 2m+ season.
    Ask PG - he knows...

November was the 5th month this year to be the wettest on record.

Very wet in NSW today, looks like the northern sections of VIC should get a good soaking again today.

Good systems lined up for Mon/Tues next week then Thurs/Fri aswell.

a.t. went for walkies around Mt Macedon last evening and lots trees newly chained sawed after falling across roads.Wondering if result of violent thunderstorm or as you noticed wind from East with wet soils.

Has been positively Melbournian in Sydney today. Constant and fairly heavy rain since sunrise here at Manly.
