Braidwood is getting the best of it. 16mm so far
A dusting showing in the trees near penderlea/Thredbo valley
16mm of much needed gentle rain o'night at beautiful Wandella
Thunder in eastern suburbs Sydney, at about 7:30 this morning.
Scored 10mm overnight in the lower Blue Mountains which is our heaviest rain since the end of April. That's right, not a single day of rainfall has managed to crack double digits for 5 months!
Looks like more on the way this afternoon from those cells to our SW.
Where abouts is that? Good to hear.
Soz, lower BM's, updated my post.
Coastal Sydney has been quite a bit more moist, but still relatively dry!
Sydney AWS now registering SSE. Starting to see that moist inflow now.
Cells starting to pop in the East of the Sydney Basin. Growth looks quick too.
skies cleared down sth middle of the day , tehn same deal.
surface winds swung S again and the moisture pushed back onto us.
drizzle and showers intermittent all arvo.
Up to 25mm now after that last storm, some pretty heavy rain and quite a lot of lightning. Temp dropped below 10c as well which is pretty impressive given there wasnt a great deal of downdraft, just heavy rain. Looks like that's about it though. Good result given how incredibly dry it has been
Or so you hear way out west
19ml for Umina so far today and still coming down. Should clear in the next half or so.
45ml for the week at Umina so not a bad start to spring.
Interesting day up high. Ice on the snow gums till noon and a little dusting on the groomers early on so there was clearly a “wintery mix”.
Sun came out, then cloud and fog re-emerged before finally starting to clear late afternoon.....
This.......with the cloud starting to roll in
Clear and dry at Buller. Beautiful day but it's not hard to tell it's almost season's end.
And to think that was very much 'skiable' 3 weeks ago. Wow.
That's actually insane how much snow has been lost in a few weeks time
Yet there’s still so much snow where it counts.
Falls on Monday. Will try to get some more conditions picd tomorrow.
Mostly Wombat turd like cumulus clouds covering much of the sky above Caroline Springs ....mild to cool at this early hour.blue sky to the Sth.
Slight breeze with definate vector from the nth...top of mid twenties on the agenda today..
Team Bears heading in for party pies(not an intentional pun)and coffee.
Thredbo cams suggesting a dusting overnight.
Just sneaked below 10C at our place this morning. I don't know why this makes me happy, but it does.
I get happy when it sneaks above 10c Which it's just done, must be bike ride time!
Stratocumulus replaced with clear blue sky now.Beautiful outside.warm, slight breeze must be in low twenties!
Team Bears moving closer to Macedon Force Field this arvo but hoping for continuing climatic conditions....pity weather is going to crash tomorrow.
Synovial joints just work better in the warm!
CC will probably overheat on his bike ride home!
and the cooling Sthly is on it's way up the Coast
Warm and windy as all f*** in Jindy. Lots of dust being blown around.
Currently in Goulburn and heading back to Sydney. Very windy on the roads and 25 degrees. Feels like I'm already back home. At least there's no humidity.
Snow held up ok today away from the busy runs (not that many were out there).
Noted a lot more water in the creeks this afternoon compared to recent days. Thaw is definitely on, despite a good cover up high.
First of the cloud started coming off the range about 1 p.m. Winds strong all day.....
Snowing at Baw Baw
Incoming for Sydco.
Feels like winter again in Melbourne. Showers on and off in the city this afternoon and hovering around 10-12c
Nice report , would concur it’s on. We do have some colder nights coming up which may slow it for some a little longer
Not sure where that bit about the snow came from? Not in my obs.....
Snowed at LM overnight. Yesterday there was no snow around the village area. This morning:
I've just finished packing up the ski hire for the year, and am trying to unpack the fishing and camping stuff.
Moonbah..... not a puff of wind. Overcast with light dry snow falling!! Not really showing up in the pics. Won’t be much but better than the heat.
EDIT: post above it started to snow heavily.
Then.. sniwvfalling from Waste Point to PV. Currently solidly snowing at the resort....a few cents on the deck and sticking. Minus 3.
A light dusting and big flakes in the air at Hilltop 1160m. Melted off pretty quick but flakes still dancing in the air
Coming down a bit heavier now.
Have stayed at Station resort twice, this has happened both times.
Light flakes to lake level near Jindy.
Looks good, no carpark attendants anymore
