Loving the uncertainty of this system. Keeps everyone interested, and the chance of some good spring skiing! If that bom 4 day chart was posted in July everyone would be wetting themselves.

I think regardless October was going to be ok on the MR, anything else in the next two weeks makes melbourne cup weekend appealing for the viccos.

Agreed. I'm not too excited by this one as it stands.

    Some seriously autum-esque maps there.
Place to be: Tassie east coast.
Forget the snow, get in the water.
    Prolonged swell event

Perhaps not for accumulation, but at least we can agree the melt will go on hold or slow right down for a couple of days.

Can I ask if folks are reasonably happy to predict a fine day saturday in NSW on the Main Range? Considering a flight.

IMO both EC and GFS show a little pre-frontal followed by perhaps 20cm?

GFS very bullish about next week on this morning's run - particularly Monday and Thursday.

Yep looks like Monday is settled in that something will happen.
Not sure about Thursday yet, GFS and Axs look good but nothing on the EC 12UTC update.

IMO models (EC and GFS) have backed off moisture for this one.
The followup I was hoping for for the 3-5 has disappeared.

18UTC GFS seems to be pushing the follow up on the 4th south IMO. Although it's still calculating and can't see the update past 138hrs.

IMO can't see anywhere near 50cm from this one based on runs this morning.
20cm perhaps, but to get more we need it to kick in on Thursday as well, and that's looking less likely now.

Maybe your right and 20 cm will be good. But I guess I am a bit optimistic when I look into the GFS haze.

Looking to the South West on the Satellite. I feel optimistic for 50cm

These precipitation charts are really bad and always way off IMO. And they are better for rain and not snow events.
