Bit of a wet old system moving down from the tropics, a bit of goodness in the south. Not going to help the flood situation though.

Yeah, this one will keep the rivers running around here. Adelaide radar looks ominous.

The Top End is also having one of its earliest starts to the Wet Season.

No rain yet in Canberra but the evening sky and air has that pending rain feeling

Still up here no more rain since that start on my last post. Enough to wet the deck but its mostly dry now only rained for a few minutes. But still threatening and no wind just dead still and quiet.

Looking at the rain radar, I think your deck will be very wet soon.

Just cold enough, though would expect a 'wintery mix' today

Fizzer south of the divide. Not too worries, plenty of moisture in the ground here already.

Agreed. Plenty of moisture in the soil in Latrobe Valley. Currently the Sun is shining here.

Here in Hallam we are now only just below our average rainfall for the year so far. 1st. time in years that we have come even close. Considering the dry start to the year winter and spring so far have been great.

Rivers are up big time around Canberra. Going to be a good trout fishing season in the rivers and creeks late in the year.

For those that drive from Sydney to the snow, Lake George has the most water in it I've seen for a very long time at the moment after all the recent heavy rain.

It's getting there. Lots of stuff for sale on FB as they clear out their flats and sell their cars and ski gear. God I love spring :D

I'll bet there's massive sigh of relief all around when you get your town back .
Same down here after xmas and Easter invasion.
Thing is though the small towns, and local families, do need the Tourist trade to survive.
This flows on into the wider service business and suppliers year round. e.g building trades

Oh absolutely. It is great to see them doing well. It's actually getting just as busy in the Xmas and Easter weeks now. Cycling brings a lot through summer.

The rain arrived in PV about 30 minutes ago. Steady, but not heavy. Interestingly there is nothing at all on the CBR rain radar
