+5C at Perisher in last half hour. That's some HOT air!
Yeah strange as its near 0c at Cooma and its been below 0c at Perisher and top station Thredbo most of the day until around 8pm and then starts to go up.
Weather obs say it all, really. Light Westerly winds yielding a text book subsidence inversion. Mountain AWS vs Cooma a perfect example here.
Hard work at Thredbo yesterday! Wow that last snowfall dropped like honey a crumpet. Found some semi windblown pockets up around the schuss & above golf course but also had a couple of full on face plant somersaults which I havent done in many years. BC looking good now with exposed scoured areas covered up.
Blazing sunshine at Falls. Still plenty of snow (not 1m+ as advertised) with few hazards. It's getting sticky though.
Courtesy of Thredbo Facebook - At least the brumbies are enjoying the hot slushy conditions
That thing could feed a whole pack of snowboarders!
Or could be used to carry a heap of gear and lots of beer up there.
Adelaide coping it this morning.
Winds getting up here in Melbourne.
Looking forward to the heavy rain in Mildura tonight
Yeah was a pretty breezy walk to work.
Sunny but a bit breezy at Perisher
Clouds starting to roll in.
Current Adelaide radar has some very heavy cells approaching
