Hey, I'm going to be at Falls in two weeks- really hoping there is a freakish bliizzard to deliver a whole lot of snow before then but I know the chances are slim so you see here lies my problem . We have the option to get white space deals with our tickets and hire which is 50% off , so we were going to get that for five days (including the kids ski school)-which also gives us free skiing and hire on the Sunday afternoon from 1pm. Now I don't know if that is going to be the best option or if they would reduce the prices if the season keeps melting away. I am still thinking it is probably cheaper to bite the bullet and by them now but would like some opinions from people in the know!!!

Probably won't be worth it for 5 nights, so I'd bite the bullet and buy the White Space passes

I've just come back from Falls Creek and would recommend holding off as you may decide you only want to ski a couple of days. Check out the Reports / Pics thread.

It was conditions like this that drove us OS.

    Never looked back.

I saw that you left early which did worry me a little but I am the only experienced skier. My hubby only really likes going down wombats - I sometimes manage to get him on other runs like drovers etc and my friend that is going has only ever skied once- ( as in 1 day) her husband skied years ago and then we have the 4 little tackers all under 7 so the lack of snow on the black runs shouldn't be a problem other than for me.

You should have fun then, just be prepared to do the same runs a few times.

I recommend night skiing down Wombats (Wed and Sat 6-9pm), your little ones will love it!

I flew back from Vancouver & skiied for 2 days at FC.

That was more about SIC & catching up with the gang than it was about the skiing.

Oh,.... & conditions were reasonable for FC at that time of the year.

Now looking forward to my 60+ ski days in British Colombia this coming season.

& I'll fly back to ski for 2 days at Hotham next year for SIC.

Ok from someone that actually likes skiing....

If the savings are only a very meagre number of dollars a day then dont. I never lash out on a three day pass if it saves me $5 a day-cause I do not ski in the rain ever-and that is a risk in Aus-I could save $10 to waste $80.

But if the saving is significant then go for it. You went there to ski, so ski.

I went to thredbo last weekend, I heard 50 negative comments before I went and got stuck with several sad sack lodge members.

And I had a great time, blue bird, great early groomers, off piste lovely for a moment, packed it in around 14:00 cause I hate slush but I had skied full on non-stop since 8.30 so I was done anyway.

Im not sure about VIC but assuming it cannot be that different, there is plenty of snow. If you like the marked runs anyway you will have a good time-just get out early.

see that's the thing with white space you get 50% off if you buy 3 days or more and get ski hire with it too, plus a lesson thrown in- so it is a good deal and I love to ski .Just sooking and stressing a bit.
