I have a share in the Silver Brumby, Thredbo for sale to the highest bidder. The current market price is $35,500. If you’re interested in purchasing the share, please let me know.
(I’ll blow them out of the water with a huge bid). ...$300... (Crosses arms and looks smugly at the other bidders)
The price is a little up, but I found someone selling a share last season for $28K. 225 shares, 20 room/units......28 night rights..... Would never work for me.
Yowsers. If I was looking to buy 1/225th of a $7 million lodge in Thredbo I now know where to look. Nice looking place - I remember a _very_ long time ago one of the guys who worked at The Base at the Thredbo turnoff used to also be the manager there.
35 grand seems a bit steep for a silver Brumby. You can pick up this silver Brumby for only 2,000 bucks on Gumtree AND it has a targa top thingy.
there's no mention of how big a share you get for $35k. Perhaps exclusive use of the toilet roll holder?
The lodge must be fabulous employers... I've known management there since 1993 and in that time the role has only changed hands once, around 99ish. Those managers still there, 20 years now.
I have friends who are members, they never eat out. I think they have swap rights with one in Guthega too.
That was off their website, a 'share' is actually an allotment of 35 shares in the private company, with 225 allotments. To become a member of the Lodge you need to own shares in a company, The Silver Brumby Limited. The Silver Brumby Limited is a privately held company and the shares are not listed on the stock exchange. Shares are sold privately, in parcels of 35 which cannot be separated. There are 225 parcels of shares
Do you reckon I could buy that Silver Brumby off Gumtree park it in the overnight carpark and sell 225 shares at 35k? I'll cook breakfast
Usually in case they decide to increase membership by splitting parcels in future (although, if that is the reason and they had thought it through, the parcel would have been a multiple of 12).
Hi there, some answers to you rquestions: • No car parking • No snow inSummer either! • The membership secretary told me what the shares had sold for recently, so that's why we decided on that guide price. • You can keep the shares in the fmaily forever - or give them to your kids. That's why memberships don't come up for sale very often. • Annual fee of $475 and a member rate when you book. For example, the rate for 14-20 July (high season) is $85 per night for adults and children. You can invite guests and this comes out of your allocated bed night for the Winter season. See below. The non-member rate is $120 per night per person. If you'd like more details, check out the website or request a temporary membership and then you can have a look at everything in more detail. • Some FAQs from the website: The Silver Brumby, Lodge Membership. Price: Price is a matter between the buyer and the seller and is influenced by market demand. About the lodge A comfortable lodge offering quality en-suite accommodation for members and their guests.
