I know right?.......... Blowed if I could find one in my hour of need though......... :mad:LOL
The shopping shuttle drops off at the mall and picks up a block away at Canadian Super store.... Dammed if I could find one anywhere in the mall or surrounding streets......
To make things worse, They seem to have removed the Timmies from the domestic lounge at Vancouver Airport. I have always made a bee line there in the past knowing that there was none at SP.

Oh well, the Cinamon buns at Paradise and Out of bounds cafe are great...
I must find out what these "bear claw" thingys are that Northsail mentioned.......

Question for Crystal and anthem, did you do your own bookings or use a travel agent?
Where are you staying and is it ok?
I see 16 cm overnight, should be excellent out there. Not jealous much .

Hi KD, don"t believe the 16cm, more like 10 (according to me and some locals), but yeah, beautiful skiing this morning and stunning scenery.
I had a two hour leave pass before the 11 am Rendezvous for Cinnamon buns........... so I went mad and boosted down Freefall, over to Alder point and then Kassanova trees onto Rusty whistle twice.... (probably my 3 favourite runs right now)

Trying to make the most of these last few days... :)

To answer your question, +1 has always done her own search on the net to book our accommodation here and when we were at SP.
We are currently staying at a great little basement 2 bed apartment on the Knoll. About halfway between top of Silverwood chair and the village. Just perfect for us. We always look for a place with full laundry etc as we travel light on clothes.

Got really excited for a sec thinking you both were coming over.

This year with accom we used an agent at home, could't beat her price and lift tickets together for Lord Aberdeen. Was tossing up if we should use your agent again as they did really well by us the year before last with our little basement condo up on the Knoll. Maybe Anthem has it this year :) Up on the Knoll was about $300 more but we thought Nah lets stay in the village..... well great location but no washer dryer. After one night we both agreed we should have gone with the house on the Knoll again, we've stayed here at LA a few times before...guess we always forget the value of a washer dryer.

Another great day on the hill today. Time for some skinny ski action on the lower slopes.
We headed out from the village to mountain view cabin and back to the ice rink pond via Bella vista. Lots of fun with really nice scenery.
    +1 on Bella Vista trail.

    Time for today's trip report....
Another great day on the hill, calm with a high overcast.
+1 and I were back on the skinny skins today to have a look around the upper mountain x country trails.
We took the gondola up and headed out to Alder point via upper Paradise, stopping off at Cap-tik hut for a quick warm up.
Just gorgeous out there. We returned to the village via Moose Alley to the Paradise cafe and then down lower paradise.
    Upper Paradise trail......

Time for today's trip report. :)
Quite a bit cooler today but mostly sunny, another gorgeous day on the hill. The snow is getting a bit crunchy where the sun has got to it, but the groomers are doing a great job tilling it up at night.
I met up with most of the Crystal clan for a lovely afternoon catching up and cruising some runs front side in the sunshine.

    Time for today's trip report.....
We went to bed with starry skies but woke up to 6cm of fluffy goodness.
+1 was determined to go to the darkness today (try snowboarding), so I hooked up with the Crystal clan for runs backside .......
Crystal's +1 and master joined me for a blast down Freefall and the SS extreme team was born......... .... LOL

I had to head back to base camp for lunch but the rest of the extreme team ticked off Gowabunga, Headwalls and Chute 5.......
    Great job team....

Was great skiing with you again, and a shame it had to end.

    Today's snow update
So it was expected that we'd get a good fall over night.... seems SS is in a vacuum, all regional areas around us got 25cm+. SS got just a dusting. The runs are holding up well and the groomers are doing a great job each night preserving what we have. Crystal clan started the day with a quick thigh burner down the front then over the back to ski runs off Sunny Ridge. Surprisingly these seem to be the pick of the hill for us, as they don't seem to get the same ''crunch'" on them as other areas and way less traffic.

Finished the day early and patiently waiting for more snow before the SS extreme team can really launch again, not sure how we will go without our fearsome leader @Anthem1

    Today's update.

Super lovely blue bird day and fairly warm with a late start for the Crystal clan. Snow held up well and skiing the front side in the sun was wonderful. Best snow conditions for us to be found out the back again and we hung out off the Putnam lift for the afternoon, not much traffic at all. Pick of the day for us was Deer Park trees, was like skiing a never ending peanut run!!. Needs more snow although still a great cover and the moguls are soft so you can still push them. I'd suggest until we get more snow and we have these gorgeous sunny days....don't hit first lifts. Give it a while to soften.

    Todays report

With a high of 4C today the snow softened quickly and the bumps became easy to move. Large crowds on the 6 pack so over the back we went. Gypsy queen was gorgeous and the blacks off North and sunny ridge were the best for us again to dodge crowds and sun effected snow. They really need some new snow but over all the hill still has great coverage with very few obstacles. Lots of sticks on the steeper and double runs but easy enough to dodge or mow down. Deer Park glades again just kept on giving..... fun and games.

At least the weather was mild for the bikini run. I remember one year it was -15c , it was a very quick run down.
