    Thanks guys.
    Anything else someone can add?

I made a call to John Bailey First National real estate this afternoon, and he suggested i get in contact with both Cosella and Chorki ski clubs at Falls.

However i can't find any contact info.

AAC has affiliated lodges at most Australian resorts, plus Niseko and Ruepahu (sp?)

There is a lodge at Falls Creek, and if you are a member there, you get booking preference for FC over members of affiliated lodges.

I think the lodge is terrific: great location, good atmosphere (IME), good facilities (but certainly not luxury), no rostered chores (but you have to be clean and helpful)

I don't have time right now to check details, but I think there are a small number of memberships available this year. The cost is about $7K and then the annual fee is a bit over $200. Cost per night for a member is about $40, guests are about $90 a night. night rate gets cheaper with longer stays.

booking rules don't suit everyone. they favour week and 5 day visits. if you want weekends you can book only 19 days ahead.

check the website. I'll try to answer other questions you have

sorry mea culpa. I thought I paid about $5K and it had gone up. Too many rounding up errors and a stuffed memory and too tired to check out the facts.

I think it is tremendous value anyway.

They are in a good spot as they don't need oversnow and there is snow on Wombat's. As a kid my family stayed at Cosela (parent's still members, maybe you could buy their share). It is comfortable enough. Cosela website

What are the chances of myself and a mate becoming a member at AAC Anton Huette (Hotham) without any proposers? We are both keen to join but don't know any other members that can back us up. Will the 3 reference be suffucient to join?
