Only very occasionally do I get an unsolicited random email that's worth sharing. This is one of those occasions. -------------------------------------------- This is Geoff from SKI TV Europe. We would like to invite your members to watch our live stream free. Is this possible to mention? Check it out at - https://skitv.tv/ski-tv-live/ We are a world ski lifestyle channel. Regards, Geoff. --------------------------------------------- There is a 24hour HD streaming channel on the website that looks to be served by Vimeo. Unfortunately the player does not Chromecast otherwise it's quite a good 'slow tv' kind of cable channel to run in the background of ski bars or ski shops. (FYI @CarveMan ) Production is modern and tidy and being Euro/British sensibility there's very little 'in your face' hype. There is also several 50min episodes on YouTube. Episode 1 Tragic's may well enjoy. I got it playing up on my lounge room TV at the moment and it's easy drop-in drop-out watching.
Thanks Richard, we are adding new content all the time and will be broadcasting live from the London Ski Show in late October. Greetings from Europe. Can't wait for winter. Regards, Geoff.
Cool. Just watched the Innsbruck segment from episode 2. Brought back a few memories from a few months ago. Played fine on Chromecast.
You can Chromecast a whole tab of a Chrome Browser? Settings (3 little dots) -> Cast -> Sources -> "Tab", "DeskTop", "File" I am making the assumption it will cast the video on the tab? edit: Must test this
Works fine for me. Great trick. Will add that to the memory banks. I'm getting full clean HD vision, same as any streaming service. After casting the tab, I then hit play on the video and then click maximise. Upon clicking maximise I got a modal button asking if I wanted to optimise for full screen. Hit yes. Bingo.
hard to see them giving us real nbn now. bastards it was supposed to be wired nbn in the initial plan
Not to rub it in or anything, but new build last year in Kirwan (Jindy) we got full fibre to the home. Must have run out of FTTN ports in the node. Mind you FTTN (from next door) was bumping up against 100 meg before we got FTTH/P
Just tried it on https://skitv.tv/ski-tv-live/ and got "stream unavailable". Tried https://skitv.tv/watch/ and that worked. Hmm. What's the go with that @geoff harrison?
