I’ve heard of a big new ski resort being built in Xinjiang Province.
Has anyone ever skied in China? What’s it like?
Are there any ski tour packages to China from Sydney?

Do a Google search "ski china". Heaps of hits. But it doesn't look all that great eg

Yabuli Ski Resort
Notes: China’s largest ski resort
Location: Heilongjiang Province
Season: Dec 1 through Apr 1
Highest Mountain: 1375m
Lifts: 17
Trails: 20
Annual Snowfall: 300 inches
Platforms: 2 (freestyle and K90)
Snowboards: Yes
Ski Instruction: Yes
Accommodation: 10 hotels and hostels, e.g. Windmill hotel and villas, Qingyun Villa, Dianli Villa, Jiaotong Villa.
Skiing Market: suitable for all
Cost: Skiing from US$55/day
Getting There: From Beijing to Harbin by air (1.5 hours), train to Yabuli (2.5 hours), bus to resort (30 min)

That's the biggest - 17 lifts, 20 runs, about $AU71 per day for a ticket.

7 meters of snowfall sounds kind of nice though...

If I was in China at the time I would probably go wouldn't go there just for that though.

Thanks for the feedback.
Learned from another board, the place is called Pingtian. www.pingtianresorts.com
I’ve skied what’s supposed to be China’s best (Yabuli) and wasn’t impressed. Maybe this will be better.
Thanks again.
