Snow space Salzburg is growing with the linking up of the Wagrain, Kleinarl, Flachauwinkl and Zauchensee. Work has begun on replacing the famous Flying Mozart Gondola which followed the Panorama link project, linking Wagrain, Kleinarl and Flachauwinkl prior to this season. Also happening this summer season is the new Winkl-Link (love that name) which will connect through to Zauchensee. These projects will deliver one of the largest linked skiing experiences in the Alps. There is some super cool terrain within those boundaries. Plus not sure if this is on the cards or not but the next obvious move would be to connect through to Obertauern. If any of you folks are looking for some variety in your European ski vacation, you could do a lot worse than a couple of weeks getting around this place. Check it out o google maps to get a feel for what's on offer.
Skied Zauchensee in 2019 and did the run down to Flachauwinkl a few times. Could see the Flachau lift across the road. Certainly all doable and on the same ski pass. Would add further possibilities to my ski safari. Just need to wait for the opportunity to get over there again.
