Bulli radar is crap IMO for Wollongong.
It struggles to look down over the edge of the escarpment.

Jeepers. Solid drop. I’d be interested to see the location. It was a common theme yesterday where big falls registered along, and in the lee of ranges and escarparments.
There was a clear line of convergence up and down the GDR for much of yesterdee arvo.

Snow in the upper reaches of VIC resorts from ~7am tomorrow morning.
5-10cm possible. Accumulating >1400m, snow possible down to 1200m IMO.
Reasonable chance of some thunderstorms by the arvo.

*not a Buller or Baw Baw system
Based on yr.no it looks like the cold air won't hit NSW until a fair bit later in the day.

Eastern Burbs of Sydney
BOM is forecasting down to 1100m, which certainly includes Buller and Baw Baw, and even LM.
Coldest air is pretty dry in this one. Some wet stuff is certainly possible down to that elevation (~1200m), but it’ll be not much more than showery wintery mix and will have bugger all chance of accumulating IMO.
Based on yr.no it looks like the cold air won't hit NSW until a fair bit later in the day.

EC suggests the main front in the AM breaks up quite a bit as passes Eastern Vic, hence the lag. The follow-up trough, coupled with the coldest air around mid-arvo will be NSW resort's best chance IMO.

Still absolutely beautiful in Melbourne...... and warm too at 28 degrees. As mentioned, wind has been blowing all day and my hayfever has been going off the charts .... stuck inside. Looking forward to a bit of precipitation and winter cool overnight.

Mild in NSW. Calm before the storm I expect. No wind coming up from Vic as yet. If you were not following the weather or associated forums it would be easy to get caught out in next few days. Only sign I can see of a change is a big “pillow” of cloud to the south that has been building up till dark.
