And boom, temperature has gone to postive degrees at Perisher. That's about it

Looking forward to decent weather this weekend, with warm days, lighter winds, and overnight freezes.

-0.5C in the Perisher car park this morning according to the car. Cloud or fog hanging around, hopefully will burn off. Looks very still.

Spring skiing really rounds out winter for me, early morning groomers, maybe a bit of boarding in the afternoon slush, casual coffees and lunches :) Oh and the weather, .... great day today and tomorrow even better!

Perfect large-crystal corn snow in the backcountry all the way to 2200m, so there was still plenty of melt-freeze during last weeks cold snap. 5-15cm of new snow actually did cover a few grassy patches and improve the cover.

We'll see how today's mini front goes.

    Closing weekend looks...windy!

Some weakish fronts crossing the SE this week, before fining up and warming up a bit for the weekend. Perfect fishing weather.

Plenty of warmth coming up over the next week for the SE. At this stage 28C for Melbourne next Saturday! Would be great beach weather if it weren't going to be too windy.

Really can't see any rain for Melbourne for the next 10 days.
GF day could be on the rather warm side.

In fact the whole SE looks rather dry

When I get old, forget about the fiddling with rods and fish guts, I'm just gunna sit on riverbanks and drink beer.

Sam's Corn Forecast: Wednesday Thursday and Friday look like the last great spring skiing days of the year, with yr.no predicting minimums of -5 on the top Kosci, and -2 at Perisher Valley. Get up there, get up early and savour it if you can.

Thursday night looks to be the last good freeze. The north-westerly "hairdryer" winds start up, and we will be wallowing into slush country by the long weekend.

Warm air and wind has arrived in Dubbo. Blowing all the pollen sacks out of my liquid amber. It's falling all over the yard like hail and my hay fever has just gone berserk.
