Yeah I brought the outdoor cushions in and put the cover in the barbie - shit looks like it's gonna get real here. We need the rain though.

Soggy in the Grose Valley NSW. Low cloud to about 700m ASL and drizzle. Not much wind or total accumulation so far.

A heavy shower just passed here in Melbourne's north but now stopped.
Hoping to see some soaking rain overnight.

Nothing in the SE subs at the moment, but I can see it coming in to the NE to NW. Wind is dropping as the trough runs out of Easterly to suck in.

Good solid rain here for the last 10 minutes. Might be easing off now.

My colleague just did Kingston to Adelaide and it was benign as.

I reckon this one has run out of steam.

Just under 10mm in the SE subs for me overnight, which is nice, but I want more. Looks like the Wimmera and Mallee will do really well/have already done really well, along with southern NSW. Plenty of juice left in this one.

Rain was heavy when I left for work and teemed down on the Eastern through to Springvale Road.
Nice and heavy. Radar showing a nice big blob about to hit the vast majority of the eastern burbs about now too, swinging down from the NNE. Happy for this to keep going all morning.
Unsurprisingly, Strath Creek has picked up 36mm, as that airmass hits the hills sweeping down that way. thankfully it's still had plenty of juice as it's made its way south

where is el nino? Looking at forecasts, chances of exceeding median rain is reasonable, and the entire SE is under rain today...well, almost

Looks like 50mm+ falls around Brewarrina - Walget - Moree area. They will be punching the air.

Staying with my better half this week, is her birthday today. Much easier to drive from hers to work than it is to train.

Was bucketing when I left at 8am

Few storms still forming around Deni as they make their way south and over the border.

And its humid, the air feels super damp.
Storms starting to brew to the N of the city, should continue to develop. Thinking we in for an interesting arvo.

    Check the radar
Nice looking storm looking like it'll hit Melb's western burbs for a direct hit

Other cells popping up on the Yarrawonga radar, looking tasty for some isolated high falls in the ranges this arvo

Going to hit most of metro Melbourne, SW and SE burbs in the next halfa. Hope for a rumble or 2.
