There is potential for some wild weather next week in South East Australia. One to watch with big storms in the mix....

This just popped up in the 18 UTC GFS run

But we warned, there is wild fluctuation in the GFS model for the weekend onwards (12UTC run didn't look anything like this)

BOM is forecasting snow up high in NSW for Monday through Wednesday - I imagine that forecast will jump all over the place over the next few days though?

While it will cool down, models suggest the moisture will be mostly gone before it arrives.

Thredbo does best out of a SE? Cold, plenty of moisture, should be good for the BC.

Just checked my data and 0.9C up on the max so far, funny, I thought spring hasnt really got going here, at least every time we get a day or 2 of 20+ we get a front come through and knock it down. Water temp in wp is 16.5C on Saturday, which is a little behind last year. Snapper are slow, until they come on it's not spring.

30C yesterday in Melbourne? Felt like it while we were painting the fence.
Half that today. Brisk SW wind, looks like this afternoon will be wet. MTB ride day.

Yep. After this weeks cold front with snow, it could get toasty with sun. And then cold again.
    Smells like October.

So in Canada recently Calgary was 25c one day in mid September, then hit with 2 x 1ft snowfall s within a week and then back up to 28c by the next weekend.
    Now THAT'S some interesting weather.

PG is the best weather forecaster on this forum. Seriously, I dont even need to read his posts, I just see he's posted in one of these threads and I know it's going to be hot in the future.

PV BOM seems to indicate the first flakes have started. Hard to tell from the radar just what might be left in the system. IMO 10-50 is my best guess. Any other theories out there.

So rare to see a rain band coming from the east of Victoria, looking good for in baw baw and lake mountain also will get abit in other areas.
